What a truly fantastic first year it's been as your Assistant Head of College! As the academic year draws to a close, it's time to celebrate and reflect on the incredible achievements, growth, and vibrant spirit that have defined the past months.
This year saw an amazing blossoming of new connections. Students, both new and returning, embraced opportunities to reach out, forming new friendships that promise to last for years to come. From collaborative projects in the classroom to shared laughter in the corridors and during extracurricular activities, these fresh bonds have enriched our school community, creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone. It's been wonderful to witness students stepping out of their comfort zones and building strong, positive relationships. There are also some big changes coming to Seacole in the year ahead with a select few moving onto other colleges so we wish them well as they head off to make new friends around the academy.
Our students have truly excelled academically, demonstrating remarkable dedication and hard work. We've seen great academic achievements across all subjects, with countless personal bests, outstanding project work and even a world record!

Goodbye Year 11
Sadly, it is also time to say goodbye to our year 11s for the last time... until they return to our Attenborough college. We wish them all the best of luck in their future endeavours and hope that they will let us know how they are getting on. Teachers have consistently praised the commitment and curiosity shown by students, who have risen to every challenge with enthusiasm. These successes are a testament to their perseverance and the supportive learning environment fostered by our dedicated staff.
Two of our students, Litsa and Lisbet are also part of the World Record Breaking team that took part in Jamie Oliver's largest ever cookery class. We are so proud of them and look forward to tasting more of their culinary delights in the future.
Creative Writing Talents ✍️
We are so proud to say that in a trust-wide creative writing competition, we have not just one but two runners up just from our college! Well done to everyone that entered!
Reading Stars! 📚
We had great success with our first year of Sparx Reader with our top students reaching, 15000, 2500 and 3500 Sparx Reader points. An amazing achievement! Well done to you all!
Finally, Sports Day was, as always, a highlight, showcasing not just athletic prowess but incredible spirit and determination. There was a great effort at Sports Day from every single participant, whether they were sprinting for the finish line, leaping in the long jump, or cheering on their teammates from the sidelines. The camaraderie and sportsmanship displayed were truly inspiring, making it a fantastic celebration of physical activity and collective spirit
What a truly remarkable year it has been, filled with growth, success, and countless moments of joy. We can't wait to see what next year brings!
