We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Year 7 and Year 8 students in this year's UKMT (UK Mathematics Trust) Junior Maths Challenge! This prestigious national competition, which took place on Thursday, 1st May 2025, encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in tackling challenging problems.
Our students embraced the 60-minute multiple-choice paper, designed not just to test knowledge, but to encourage deep thinking and problem-solving skills. The results are in, and we could not be prouder of their dedication and the fantastic success they achieved!
We are delighted to announce that several of our talented students earned well-deserved certificates:

And a huge round of applause to Maks in Year 8, who secured a Silver Certificate with a fantastic score of 80 points, making him the 'Best in Year 8'!
These results are a testament to our students' hard work, resilience, and natural flair for mathematics. Participating in challenges like the Junior Maths Challenge not only builds confidence but also inspires a deeper appreciation for the beauty and logic of maths beyond the curriculum. We celebrate every student who took part and dared to challenge themselves. Well done to all our budding mathematicians!
As the final GCSE exam papers are collected, we want to take a moment to commend our incredible Year 11 students for their immense dedication, resilience, and hard work throughout their GCSE examination period.
The last few weeks, typically from early May to mid-June, have been a demanding time, culminating in the culmination of years of learning. Our students approached each paper with focus and determination, a testament to the rigorous preparation, countless hours of revision, and the unwavering support they received from their teachers and families.
It has been wonderful to see so many of our students emerge from their exams with a sense of accomplishment and genuine confidence. The smiles and positive comments after challenging papers were a clear indication of how prepared they felt and how well they believe they performed. This self-assurance is a true marker of their growth, not just academically, but in their ability to manage pressure and rise to a significant challenge.
We are incredibly proud of the effort each and every Year 11 student has put in. Their commitment during lessons, attendance at revision sessions, and diligent independent study have been inspiring. They have not only demonstrated their academic capabilities but also developed vital life skills such as perseverance, time management, and self-belief.
Now, as they await their results in August, we encourage them to enjoy a well-deserved break and look forward to the exciting next steps in their educational journey. Their hard work has undoubtedly laid a strong foundation for future success.
Well done, Year 11! We couldn't be prouder.
We are excited to announce that a team of our talented Key Stage 3 mathematicians represented our school at the inaugural Trust-wide KS3 Maths Feast!
Organised within our Trust to foster mathematical talent and collaboration, this engaging competition brought together bright young minds from across our family of schools. Our team of four specially selected students β Charlie (Year 8), Praneeth (Year 7), Maks (Year 8), and Rishvanth (Year 9) β travelled to Strood Academy on Wednesday, 16th July, accompanied by a dedicated teacher.
The Maths Feast is a unique and exciting event that involves a series of challenging rounds, testing problem-solving skills, teamwork, and quick thinking across various mathematical disciplines. It's a fantastic opportunity for our students to apply their knowledge in a dynamic, competitive, and fun environment, pitting their wits against their peers from other Trust schools.
We are incredibly proud to share that our team was awarded the Certificate for the Most Collaborative Team β a testament to their outstanding teamwork, communication, and mutual support throughout the competition.
We wish our brilliant team a huge congratulations for their achievement and thank them for representing our school with such pride, enthusiasm, and mathematical excellence!
We are incredibly proud to recognise four outstanding students who have shown exceptional dedication and achievement in Sparx Maths over the past 12 months.
π Scarlett (Year 10)
π Aathithan (Year 9)
π Simeon (Year 8)
π Muhammad (Year 7)
These students achieved the highest XP points in their year group, completing not only their regular Sparx Maths homework with consistency and accuracy, but also going above and beyond with extra work. Their commitment to independent learning, persistence with challenging tasks, and enthusiasm for maths have truly set them apart.
Their efforts are a brilliant example of what can be achieved with focus, resilience, and a positive attitude toward learning. A huge well done to all four of our Sparx Stars β we look forward to seeing even more great things from you!
