I've been an elementary Special Education Resource Room teacher at El Dorado since 1998. I've also taught in Montana and Washington, D.C. I love getting to work with students, sometimes over the course of many years, and watching them grow as they master new skills and become readers and writers.
I have a B.A. from Pitzer College in Claremont, CA and a M.ED from Boston University. After a lot of hard work, I achieved my National Board Certification in Exceptional Needs in 2011.
This summer, I practiced with my dog, Hank, who passed his Canine Good Citizenship test. He's been accepted into the SF Animal Shelter's Pet Outreach program and has been coming to school most Fridays for my students to read to him!
