I grew up in a small town in the northwest corner of New Mexico. Thoreau is located near the beautiful red rocks just off of I-40 in between Gallup and Grants. I attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Go Lumberjacks! Upon graduation, I returned home to Thoreau where I taught for thirteen years in grades 1-5. During this time I was also a Comprehensive Health School Coordinator and SPARK Physical Education Specialist. In 2004 I began working as an educator with the Bureau of Indian Education. In 2010, I moved to El Dorado and began teaching here at El Dorado Community School.
