I am very excited to be teaching 5th grade this year!

or elsewhere:

I have worked for the Santa Fe Public Schools for about 17 years, mostly in

counselor related positions across the district. This is my sixth year at El Dorado

Community School as a teacher.

Hobbies or Interests:

I love to garden, bike, run, hike, read, and spend time with my two teenage boys

(one who is in 8 th grade at El Dorado this year). When I have free time I like to

study Spanish and I always like to be outside!

What do you love about teaching or being in your role?

I have been learning with young people and adults for about 35 years, mostly in

the out-of-doors. I love being a teacher and love learning from my students as well.

If you could choose three people from the past or present to have dinner

with (other than your immediate family), who would they be?

 Erik Weihenmayer, mountain climber who happens to be blind

 Edward Abbey, author and outdoor guy

 Dalai Lama, our world would benefit from a little more understanding
