understand and use monochromatic colors to develop perspective
become efficient with the curvature and or pen tool to trace objects
use other previously learned tools and processes to create objects ( work smarter not harder)
be creative
minimum 5 layers of background objects
mountains tend to look better when folded over each other and not one continuous layer all the way across the canvas
more complicated silhouette in the foreground
wolf, person, eagle, etc
use of a colour palette that demonstrates depth of your background
Start by looking at the exemplars of student work below
Go through the slide show to help yourself define what a vector tonal lanscape is
Spend at least 5 minutes practicing doodling with the pen and/or the curvature tool
Pen Tool - Curves & Lines - draw a snake (watch if you did not watch during basic shapes)
find objects and background images that you would like to use in your final image
Save the images to your E Drive / DMA / AI folder
File place images onto a separate layer in AI and lock that layer
Start tracing objects you would like to use
all objects should close
don't just use lines
Stack the objects
Using your color palette from adobe color wheel and the eyedropper tool color the images
The foreground object should be the darkest and the background should be the lightest
do write-up (what you learned)
post on your portfolio on the AI Projects page
Hand-in to google classroom
What your piece of work means to you?
What did you like about it?
What would you do differently next time?
