Helpful tips if you want to complete assignments at home
If you have access to a computer (PC or MAC, not Chromebooks) at home and would like to catch up on some projects, here are some tools that can help you!
Did you know... You can download and use Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver) for FREE with your SD48 login and password?
Go to: https://www.adobe.com/ca/creativecloud.html to download Adobe Creative Cloud to your home computer.
Login with your school email and password
Download the required programs
Note 1: You will have to upload your files to Google Drive in order to access them at home.
Note 2: Unfortunately Adobe software does NOT work on Chromebooks.
In order to access your files at home, you will have to upload your files to Google Drive from your school computer. Tutorial videos are below. The process looks something like this:
Upload your files from your school computer to Google Drive in class. Make sure you upload the working files (.ai, .psd etc.) and not JPEG files.
When you get home, login to Google Drive, and download the files you want to work on.
Open your files in the appropriate program and work on them.
When finished, upload your files from home back to Google Drive. You can also upload your work to your digital portfolio from home.
When you get back to school, download your new files and save them to your E drive. If you aren't finished the project, you can continue working on it. If you haven't uploaded it to your Digital Portfolio, do that now, and then hand in your link on Google Classroom.
