Day 7 & 8
Day 8 we got to investigate the size of a T. Rex's foot! It was HUGE - 4.3 feet to be exact!
We drew a picture of the T.Rex foot and then compared it to different things/animals/people around our houses. Check it out!
On day 7 of Project SEEK, we once again put on our paleontology hats! We chiseled away at some dinosaur eggs and each of us uncovered a different dino!
We showcased our dinos on SeeSaw and researched a few fun facts
Day 6 (virtual field trip!)
Today we went on a virtual field trip to the Royal Tyrell Museum of Paleontology.
We learned a lot about how fossils are formed, prepared, and shown in the museum!
We also learned about many different kinds of dinosaurs (some common ones that actually aren't even dinosaurs at all!), what the Earth looked like when the dinosaurs were roaming, and looked at many, many fossils!
Day 4 & 5
Day 5 we put on our paleontologist hats and discovered what it was like to be one for a day!
We created our own fossils by finding things around our yard & house!
Day 4 we learned about dinosaur food chains!
We made our own food chains by choosing dinosaurs that are consumers - both herbivores and carnivores.
Day 3
Today was our 3rd day of Project SEEK!
We started out our day by playing an epic game of Dinosaur Blooket - where we answered questions correctly to get as many coins as possible in order to win the game!
Today we learned about what dinosaurs eat - plant eaters vs. meat eaters.
Students showed what they learned and created their own dinosaur tooth! We are excited to see how everyones tooth turned out!
Day 2
Today was our second day of Project SEEK!
Because of our Google Meet snafu yesterday, we took today as an opportunity for a 're-do', and it was SUCCESSFUL! 😆
We got to learn even more friends' names and favorite dinosaurs 🦖 🦕.
We also learned about the time periods dinosaurs lived and which dinosaurs lived in each period!
It was a great second day! 😁
Day 1
Today was our first day of Project SEEK!
Apologies again for the rocky start some had not being able to join the Google Meet - we promise we are working on this for Thursday!! 🙃
Glad we were able to see a few of your faces this morning!
Today we learned each others' names and favorite dinosaurs. We also talked about what we already know about dinosaurs and what we want to know!
Welcome to Dinosaurs!
