This drawing is kind of a starter to bigger drawing projects, but basically each person draws a section, then we put the sections together and once all sections are put together a big picture of sugarloaf is created. I got a small piece of paper that had a black and white image, I had to make it bigger to fit the piece of paper I was drawing on. I also used markers, of different colors and a pencil to outline the parts that were getting colored. I’m not sure why I chose this exact piece, but if I had to guess what made me choose it then that would be because it was split down the middle and had opportunity to have multiple section with multiple colors, and their were not lots of places that connected to the side of the paper so it was easier to make a more exact enlarged image. In this image I used lots of just shading to make the colors as opaque as possible, like I did on the left side of the trail cutting diagonally across the image. This project started as a small little cube that was black and white, then I drew it larger than its original form and I added the color just to make it so it wouldn’t be plain. This piece is a smaller piece to a large sugarloaf piece and everyone goes to sugarloaf, I think the drawing brought on some good memories from sugarloaf. I have never personally been to sugarloaf, but I know people who have and so this project can relate to them. I think I could have drawn/colored more neatly also, made the initial drawing more accurate to fit the bigger image better.
