Vespara is the third province to have joined the Empire, conquered during the reign of Potens Astraea following a failed attempt to curb the Hadrian Potentate’s territorial growth. Most of the province’s population is concentrated in villages along the rivers running down from the mountains of Otho’s Embrace, the city of Astreana near the province’s Imperial bridge, and the capital city of Liviso on the shores of the Great Mirror Lake. The rest of the province is characterized by vast grassland and rocky desert. Due to the wide open nature of its geography and the cloud blocking nature of Otho’s Embrace, the province is renowned for severe weather including intense thunderstorms and tornadoes during the Spring and Summer.
