Sacramentum Heraldic Device
Sacramentum means "oath" in one of the many languages and dialects of the Hadrian Empire.
Upon being selected to join the guild's ranks one must choose from one of four oaths that act as subgroups within the guild; the Maledictus Interfectors, the Libra Solis, the Pacis Lator, and the Unitatem.
The Maledictus Interfectors, led by Keeper Magnus, are front line monster hunters. Where cursed beings are to be found, it is the job of the Interfectors to put them down before they can bring harm to the people.
The Libra Solis, led by Keeper Lucia, are scholars dedicated to finding cursed artifacts - and even creatures - for the sake of studying them in order to better understand how their I’ll effects on the people might be thwarted.
The Pacis Lator, let by Keeper Cazon, are the political diplomats of the Sacramentum. They exist to work with the various peoples of the land in order to further the good works of the Sacramentum.
The Unanitem, currently leaderless, exists as an organization of artisans and craftspeople who supply the Sacramentum with any supplies, arms, armor, tools, and whatever else they might need for their excursions.
Finally the Sanctus Custodes, led by Keeper Constantine Valdor, act as shadow guardians of the Sacramentum in order to fulfill the oaths they swore in the past.
Maledictus Interfectors Heraldic Device
The Maledictus Interfectors, or Interfectors, are the original core of the Sacramentum and its first oath.
Originally founded by De’stus Helios who tragically lost his family one fateful night when the Helios manor was attacked by goblin raiders, De’stus hunted down and killed the goblins. In the aftermath he found that his last remaining heir had miraculously survived the attack. He then dedicated his life to destroying any cursed beast that would prey upon humans, turning the House of Helios into a place of training and eventually a fortress for the order that would become the Sacramentum.
All are welcome among the Interfectors, from the humblest of peasants to the highest of nobles, regardless of nationality or occupation. The requirements for membership are as follows: that you show courage in the face of danger from cursed abominations, put the well-being of others before your own, refrain from slander of the Empress or her divine prophecy, respect towards your fellow guild members, and restraint regarding any action that would shame Sacramentum as a whole.
The Interfectors are founded on the teachings of Lady Astara - goddess of sleep, death, and peace. All members are welcome to follow their own deities as they see fit, so long as they don’t conflict with Astara’s desire to bring peace to the people in life and in death.
Two divine beings that are to be shunned are the Caliga and Lucius, the mother and father of the cosmos. Most Interfectors simply call them “the Primordials'' as the simple mention of their evil names is said to draw their attention.
As followers of Astara and the primary monster slayers of the Sacramentum, the Interfectors exist to unite humanity against the threat of the Primordials and their evil servants through unity and cooperation rather than force.
The Maledictus Interfectors are currently led by Keeper Magnus Ectorius.

Pacis Lator Heraldic Device
While some battles are fought with swords and shields, others are fought words and coin. This is the function of the Pacis Lator, an oath of the Sacramentum that focuses on guild relations, political prowess, and economic persuasions.
This oath was originally founded as an independent order by Leonardo DeGrand, who served as an advisor to the Empress during the rebellion against the Imperial Senate. For his part in the rebellion, Leonardo secretly spread the vision of the Empress to the laborers, merchants, and leaders amongst the people of Hadria. When the time came, the people whom the Senate thought they could rely on for support gave none as they turned their back and marched onward with the Empress into the future.
The Pacis Lator invites all Hadrian merchants, spell scribes, potion smiths, and those who wish to use intelligence and charisma to share in the Empress’ vision for the future. The requirements for membership are simple: speak well of the Empress and the vision with which she leads, make alliances and strategic relationships which can be used by the Sacramentum to further their efforts, and come at the general defense of the Sacramentum when battle begins. We ask that our merchants treat fellow Sacramentum well, and provide discounts when able. Bring no shame to the Empress or the Sacramentum and you’ll be fine.
While we are all members of the Empire, views of how it should operate and conduct itself vary widely amongst its subjects. The Pacis Lator have faith in the Empress, and will take her side in all altercations with those in and out of the faction.
If the time comes that we should come to blows with fellow Hadrians, we only seek to stop the conflict. In a situation where the Cursed invade we will join forces in any way possible with our fellows in the Maledictus Interfectors.
