Biography

From the outskirts of Mareton, Magnus grew up on the edge of the Maw where the decayed soil finally turned into fertile farming ground. It was there that his father, a veteran of the past war with the Rivlans and his mother, an accomplished alchemist in her own right, raised young Magnus to a life of hard but honest work as a vineyard worker. However, being on the border of the Maw comes with all sorts of dangers. 

When a large cursed creature came to investigate his family's fields, Magnus’s peaceful life was thrown into turmoil. In desperation to best the creature who was slaughtering his friends, Magnus manifested first sphere sage magic, regrowing smashed fingers and healing blood drenched cuts in an instant. It was this desperate magic that allowed him to drive it away despite the tender age of 15. It is also this instant that he was drafted into the Hadrian forces. Taken from his family, Magnus was raised in the Sacramentum by the Maledictus Interfectors as a hopeful of the order. He underwent his trials at the age of 23, and has been waiting two years for the joining.

In 1023 he would cross the Maw to meet Lord Errant Gaius Helios and to support the Empress’s mission in The March as well as to help Keeper Amartis Claudius investigate the incident with the armored orcs and disappearing caravans at Schlosswald Garrison. Here he would be granted the title of Keeper of the Maledictus Interfectors after the death of Gaius Helios and ascension of Amartis Claudius to Lord Errantship. 

For his deeds during the defense of the Garrison he would become known for his unwavering ferocity in battle and resolve against the enemies of humanity - ultimately rising from the carnage of battle as the Lion of Schlosswald.
