Feral Goblins, or Feral Orcs as they are called in the March, have antagonized humanity for centuries, earning their place in folklore as the foul villains of children's tales and subjects of frightened traveler's and farmers nighttime stories.Â
Typically solitary, goblins occasionally bond with another and travel in pairs. They are also inhumanly resistant to injuries that would fell a human and possess appetites that even the greatest larder in the Empire could not sate.Â
As a result of this, goblins made use of only rudimentary weapons and armor, and magic remained beyond their grasp. They lurked on the fringes of civilization, dwelling in the dark places of the world, emerging only to slaughter.
That all changed in the Spring of 1022. In the midst of the strife that was the "celebration of peace" held by Rivlan nobility in Whitehurst, a foul horde descended upon those present bearing weapons and armor of wrought iron. In their midst came dark magic users, wielding cursed magic capable of bending the human mind to their will.
