Driven by strange dreams and taken in by the Sect of the Sun after the destruction of her family, Aurelia became a fervent and devoted - if not rambunctious - follower of Aelia and subsequently, her chosen Empress, Elizabetha.Â
Aurelia grew tired of the restrained life of the order, believing that their attempts at politicking and reformation were too tame to truly honor the fires of victory promised to them by Aelia. After learning of the Canibus Alinus contingent preparing to cross the Maw, she escaped the confines of the sect's walls and joined the crossing.
She arrived in the March of Spring 1023, where she was separated from the Canibus Alinus for a brief time before joining them at Schlosswald Garrison. There she met the Hadrians that had been embedded in the March for many years, making quick connections in the Administratum and Sacramentum through mutual goals and beliefs. She found herself, for the first time in her life, without the oppressive supervision of the Sect of the Sun and she reveled in the freedom.
Aurelia witnessed the cursed creatures and goblins for the first time, realizing that darkness had already stretched its fingers into the land. Knowing it was her responsibility to carry Aelia's light into the very darkest corners of the world, she threw herself into the task of driving them back. Through her deeds she would discover the capability of breaking the Void's hold both on humans and objects, experiencing the full power of Aelia's blessing.
After the purifying the cursed blade of Hillshire and the defeat of the cursed who came to claim it, she swore to Aelia to stay in the March until the darkness was driven out or until she took her walk with Astara to the Hidden Plains.Â
