Hadria, or the Capitoline it is called in modern times, is the seat of Imperial power and the first province. It is centered on the island of Atolia, giving the province command of the Inner Sea. The island is characterized by rolling hills and plains in the West, with foothills and mountains in the East. Most of the land on the island has been cleared in the past centuries and replaced by sprawling estates, vineyards, and some of the most renowned locations in Imperial territory such as The Bastion. Another construction of note is the series of bridges that were built during the time of the Potentate which connect the island to the mainland - engineering marvels the same scale as that of the Lift in the North. What wilderness remains in the Capitoline is dense tropical jungle and coastal swampland protected by Imperial decree. The provincial capital is the Capitola, which also serves as the capital city of the Empire. From this city in the island's Southernmost tip the Empress reigns from the Solar Palace and dictates the course of humanity and her campaigns against the forces of the Void.
