Our town of Vasai is blessed with beaches and greenery. The variety of flora and fauna in the region add to its beauty. Pushpanjali College of Education constantly endeavours to protect and conserve this natural beauty. These endeavours are also contribution towards the achievement of SDGs. TREE PLANTATION DRIVES (#SDG 13 Climate Action)
Tree plantation drives in internship schools helped to spread awareness of the need to conserve local varieties of trees
AWARENESS ABOUT CONSERVING LOCAL WATER BODIES ( #SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation)
Spreading awareness about the conservation of local water storage bodies (bavkhals in local language)
MANGROVE CONSERVATION (#SDG 13 Climate Action)
Mangroves form an integral part of the local ecosystem as the town of Vasai is blessed with a beautiful coastline. These mangroves need to be protected as climate change is adversely affecting them. The college collaborates with NGO Luna story Foundation to save the mangroves and care for newly planted mangroves by keeping the beaches clean.
Sessions on WATER SECURITY ( #SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation)
Sessions on Water Security were carried out in internship school to create awareness of need to conserve local water bodies.
Our VENTEL Cell activities also focus on adopting a life style that focuses on sustainable development. (# SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities)
