Contribution of Alumni 2025-26

Session by Ms. Cindrella Dmello on Vedic Maths

On 30th March 2026, Ms. Cindrella D’Mello, an alumna of Pushpanjali College of Education, conducted an engaging session on Vedic Maths for the B.Ed. students. She introduced students to various techniques and shortcuts for performing mathematical calculations quickly and efficiently. Through practical demonstrations and interactive activities, she highlighted how Vedic Maths can make calculations easier, faster, and more interesting. The session provided students with useful strategies that can be effectively incorporated into classroom teaching to make mathematics more engaging for learners.

Session on C.V writing and LinkedIn Profile by Ms. Mildred Deabreo

Pushpanjali College of Education organised a session on CV Writing and LinkedIn Profile Development conducted by Ms. Mildred Deabreo, an alumna of Pushpanjali College of Education. She guided students on preparing effective and professional CVs, highlighting their qualifications, skills, achievements, and experiences. She also demonstrated how to create and optimise a LinkedIn profile for professional networking, personal branding, and career opportunities. The session provided students with valuable career-readiness skills and practical guidance for the competitive job market.

Judging Diwali Competitions By Ms. Shipla Dsouza and Mr. Emil Dsouza

Ms. Shipla D’Souza and Mr. Emil D’Souza, alumni of Pushpanjali College of Education, were invited as judges for the Diwali Competitions organised by the college. They evaluated the participants based on creativity, presentation, originality, and overall performance. Their valuable feedback and encouragement added to the spirit of the celebrations and motivated students to showcase their talents with enthusiasm.

Ms. Ranjeeta Gomes, Ms. Rovina Sailan, Ms. Mildred Deabreo, and Ms. Archana Alphanso, proud alumni of Pushpanjali College of Education, delivered insightful presentations on their doctoral research. They shared their research findings, experiences, and contributions to the field of education with the students and faculty. The alumni were also felicitated by the college in recognition of their academic achievements and successful completion of their Ph.D. degrees.

Alumni served as the resource persons for the Panel Discussion on different Boards of Education 

A panel discussion on different Boards of Education was conducted through an online session with alumni of Pushpanjali College of Education serving as resource persons. Ms. Sophia Dabreo, Ms. Calista D’Melo, and Ms. Natasha P. shared valuable insights based on their professional experiences with different educational boards. The session helped students understand the key differences in curriculum, teaching approaches, and assessment practices across various boards.

Contribution of Alumni 2024-25

On 22nd March 2025, Ms. Sophiya Gonsalves, an alumna of Pushpanjali College of Education and a teacher at Chatrabhuj Narsee School, Borivali, conducted an informative session for B.Ed. students on Global Perspectives, a curriculum component newly introduced in IGCSE schools. Drawing from her teaching experience, she provided valuable insights into the objectives, structure, and teaching methodologies of the subject. She also highlighted the importance of developing critical thinking, research skills, and an understanding of global issues among students.

Dr. Cerena D’Cunha conducted a course on communication skills

Dr. Cerena D’Cunha, an alumna of Pushpanjali College of Education, conducted a one-day offline orientation at Pushpanjali College to introduce her Grammar for Communication course. During the session, she explained the course structure, objectives, and the importance of grammar in effective communication. The course was subsequently delivered online through interactive quizzes, assessments, and evaluation activities, ensuring active participation and meaningful learning. The course was well-received by students for its practical and engaging approach. Upon successful completion, students were awarded certificates in recognition of their participation and performance.

Creating Linkdin Profile Mr. Gavin Dsouza

An insightful session on “Creating a LinkedIn Profile” was conducted by Mr. Gavin D’Souza, an alumnus of Pushpanjali College of Education. He guided B.Ed. students on creating a professional LinkedIn profile and highlighted its importance for networking, showcasing qualifications, teaching skills, internships, and achievements. The session also provided practical tips on building a strong professional presence and connecting with educational networks. The session was interactive and highly beneficial for the students.

A panel discussion on various educational boards CBSE, ICSE, and IGCSE was conducted at Pushpanjali College, featuring Ms. Sophi Deabreo, Ms. Tracy D’Souza, and Ms. Natasha Punnose, all alumnae of Pushpanjali College of Education. The panelists shared valuable insights into the structure, teaching approaches, assessment methods, and student engagement practices followed by each board. Drawing from their professional experiences, they highlighted the strengths and challenges of the different educational systems, providing B.Ed. students with a broader understanding of the diverse landscape of school education.
