Co curricular activities 2025-26

The students of Pushpanjali College of Education actively participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga Rally on 13 August 2025 along with other institutions. The rally aimed to promote patriotism and encourage citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes. Students enthusiastically took part, carrying the tricolor and spreading messages of unity, pride, and love for the nation. The event created a strong sense of national spirit and togetherness among all participants.

A special assembly on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi was conducted by Ms. Vibhuti. The program highlighted the cultural and spiritual significance of the festival, spreading a message of devotion, positivity, and unity. To promote environmental awareness, an eco-friendly Ganesha idol-making competition was also organized in the college, in which S.Y.B.Ed students actively participated with great enthusiasm and creativity. The initiative encouraged the use of sustainable materials and conveyed the importance of protecting nature while celebrating traditions. As a part of celebration an Eco-friendly Ganesha Idol Making Competition was conducted at Pushpanjali College of Education with great enthusiasm. The event aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage the use of sustainable materials during festivals. All students actively participated in the competition, showcasing their creativity and artistic skills by making beautiful eco-friendly Ganesha idols. The activity not only highlighted the importance of protecting the environment but also inspired students to adopt greener practices in their daily lives.

A special assembly and programme on the occasion of Teachers’ Day was conducted by the S.Y.B.Ed students. The celebration was a heartfelt tribute to teachers, acknowledging their dedication, guidance, and invaluable contribution to shaping students’ lives. The programme included speeches, performances, and expressions of gratitude, creating a joyful and respectful atmosphere. It served as a reminder of the important role teachers play in building a strong and enlightened society.

A special assembly on the occasion of Hindi Diwas was conducted by the S.Y.B.Ed students. The programme highlighted the importance of the Hindi language as a symbol of our cultural heritage and national unity. As part of the celebration, a Hindi poem recitation was also organized, where students confidently expressed their thoughts and emotions through beautiful poetry. The event created a sense of pride for the language and encouraged everyone to appreciate and promote Hindi in their daily lives.

A special assembly on Pushpanjali Day, celebrating 35 glorious years of PCE, was conducted by the S.Y.B.Ed students. The programme included a heartfelt celebration of the college’s journey and achievements, followed by the felicitation of past pillars, including the Principal and members of the Roll of Honors of Pushpanjali College of Education. The event highlighted the legacy, dedication, and contributions of those who shaped the institution, inspiring students to uphold the values and excellence of the college in the years to come.

Freshers’ Party was organized to extend a warm welcome to the First Year B.Ed. students. The Second Year B.Ed. students hosted the event with great enthusiasm, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere through cultural performances, interactive games, and inspiring speeches. The programme provided an excellent opportunity for the newcomers to interact with their seniors, feel welcomed, and become a part of the college community. It fostered friendship, mutual understanding, and a strong sense of belonging, while marking the beginning of an enriching academic journey.

Diwali was celebrated with great enthusiasm through special assemblies that highlighted the significance of the different days of the festival. Students were informed about the importance of the five days of Diwali, with emphasis on the ecological and spiritual values associated with the festival. Cultural presentations and enactments depicting the events associated with Diwali added to the festive spirit. Rangoli and lantern-making competitions were organized, witnessing enthusiastic participation from the students. Their creativity and artistic skills were reflected in the vibrant rangoli designs and beautifully crafted lanterns, making the celebration colourful and memorable for all.

The Talent Display Programme, held on 11 November 2025, provided the First Year B.Ed. students with an opportunity to showcase their diverse talents and creative abilities. The students enthralled the audience with energetic dance performances and melodious singing. They also demonstrated their culinary expertise by presenting a variety of delicious dishes. Their artistic skills were reflected in an impressive exhibition of paintings, crochet work, craft articles, nail art, mehendi designs, and innovative creations made from recycled materials. The programme highlighted the students' versatility, creativity, and enthusiasm, making it a memorable and enriching experience for all.

On 14 November 2025, the Student Council Election for the F.Y. students were conducted successfully through a democratic process. The election provided students with an opportunity to understand the values and importance of democracy, leadership, and responsible participation. Students actively took part in the voting process with great enthusiasm and sincerity. After the completion of voting, the council members were fairly elected by the students. The event encouraged leadership qualities, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility among the students, making it a meaningful and educational experience for all. On following day 15 November 2025, the Investiture Ceremony was conducted for the newly elected Student Council members after the successful completion of the student council elections. The ceremony marked the formal appointment of the elected representatives and highlighted the importance of leadership, responsibility, and commitment. The council members proudly accepted their roles and responsibilities and took an oath to serve the institution sincerely, honestly, and responsibly. During the ceremony, the elected students were assigned various departments and responsibilities to ensure the smooth functioning of different student activities and programmes throughout the academic year. The allocation of departments encouraged teamwork, coordination, and accountability among the council members. The programme created a sense of pride, discipline, and dedication among the newly elected leaders, making the occasion memorable and inspiring for everyone present.

On the occasion of World AIDS Day, a special assembly was conducted by Ms. Fatema to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS. The program aimed to educate students about the importance of prevention, care, and support for those affected by the disease. All B.Ed students actively participated in the assembly and later took part in an awareness rally. Through slogans, posters, and informative messages, they encouraged people to stay informed and fight against the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS. The event was both educational and inspiring, promoting a sense of responsibility and compassion among everyone present.

On 5 December 2025, the college observed Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Death Anniversary and World Soil Day. The assembly was conducted by Ms. Lisa. The event highlighted Dr. Ambedkar’s contributions towards equality, justice, and education, while also creating awareness about the importance of soil conservation and environmental sustainability. Students actively participated and gained valuable insights into social responsibility and environmental protection. 

The Sports Day was celebrated on 6 December 2025 with great enthusiasm and team spirit. The programme commenced with the formal opening by Mr. Pankaj, Assistant Professor of G.G. College, followed by an impressive march past by the students. Various outdoor games and sports activities were conducted, encouraging participation, discipline, and sportsmanship among the students. Students actively participated in different competitions and displayed excellent coordination, energy, and enthusiasm throughout the day. The event also promoted physical fitness, leadership qualities, and healthy competition among the participants. Teachers and students together contributed to making the programme lively and successful. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of all participants, organizers, and guests who contributed to the success of the programme.

Human Rights Day assembly was conducted on 10 December 2025 by Ms. Dream to create awareness about the importance of equality, dignity, justice, and fundamental rights of every individual. The assembly highlighted the significance of protecting human rights and promoting peace, unity, and harmony in society. Students actively participated and gained a better understanding of their rights, duties, and responsibilities as responsible citizens. 

National Mathematics Day was celebrated on 22 December 2025 through a special assembly conducted by the Students’ Council. The assembly highlighted the importance of Mathematics in daily life and paid tribute to the contributions of the great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. Various mathematical games and activities were organized to make learning Mathematics interesting and enjoyable for the students. Students actively participated in the competitions and displayed logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork. The celebration helped in developing interest and appreciation towards Mathematics among the students.

Christmas Celebration was held on 23 December 2025 in collaboration with the entire Grace Campus with great joy and enthusiasm. A special assembly was conducted to mark the occasion and spread the message of love, peace, and unity associated with Christmas. The F.Y.B.Ed. students performed a beautiful tableau depicting the birth of Jesus Christ, which was appreciated by everyone present. Carol singing was also conducted, filling the atmosphere with festive spirit and happiness. Students and staff members actively participated in the celebration and enjoyed the joyful occasion together. The programme promoted togetherness, harmony, and the spirit of sharing and caring among all.

World Braille Day was observed on 8 January 2026 through a special assembly conducted by Ms. Sharlet and Ms. Prachiti. The assembly aimed to create awareness about the importance of Braille in empowering visually impaired individuals and promoting inclusive education. Various activities were conducted to help students understand the significance and use of the Braille system. Braille cards displaying different letters were also shown to the students, giving them practical exposure to the method of reading and writing used by visually impaired persons. The programme helped in developing sensitivity, awareness, and respect towards individuals with special needs.

World Hindi Day was celebrated on 10 January 2026 through a special assembly conducted by Ms. Pranjali and Ms. Maxina. The assembly highlighted the importance of the Hindi language and its contribution towards Indian culture, literature, and national unity. Various activities such as poem reading and identification of different मुहावरे (idioms) were conducted to enhance students’ interest and knowledge in Hindi language and literature. Students enthusiastically participated in the activities and showcased their language skills and creativity. The celebration helped in promoting appreciation and respect for the Hindi language among the students.

National Youth Day and Swami Vivekananda Jayanti were observed on 12 January 2026 through a special assembly conducted by Ms. Judith. The assembly highlighted the life, teachings, and inspirational thoughts of Swami Vivekananda and emphasized the role of youth in nation building and social development. Ms. Sonia Bombacha also shared valuable information about the significance of the day and motivated students to follow the ideals of discipline, confidence, leadership, and service to society. Students actively participated in the assembly and gained inspiration from the messages and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

Pushpanjali College of Education celebrated Republic Day on 26 January 2026 with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at the Our Lady of Grace Convent campus, along with the other institutions functioning on the campus. The celebration included a meaningful programme that highlighted the significance of the Constitution, democracy, and the values of unity, equality, freedom, and national responsibility. Students and staff participated with enthusiasm, making the occasion a memorable celebration of our nation’s 77th Republic Day. 

A Retirement Programme was organised to honour the dedicated and valuable service of Dr. Sheetal Chaudhar, Dr. Cynthia D’Costa, and Ms. Sunita Pambuja. The programme was conducted with warmth and gratitude, acknowledging their significant contributions, commitment, and years of service to the institution and the field of education. Faculty members and students expressed their appreciation and shared heartfelt wishes for their retired life. The occasion was a memorable tribute to their professional journey and the positive impact they made on the institution and its learners. 

Marathi Bhasha Diwas was observed on 27 February 2026 through a special assembly conducted by the F.Y. students. The assembly highlighted the importance of non-governmental organizations in social development, the need for sustainable use of energy resources, and the significance of preserving and promoting the Marathi language and culture. Various activities were conducted to create awareness and encourage active participation among students. Students enthusiastically participated in the programme through speeches, presentations, and interactive activities related to the themes of the day. The celebration helped in developing social awareness, environmental responsibility, and respect for regional language and culture among the students.

National Science Day was observed on 2 March 2026 through a special assembly conducted by the Eureka Science Club of Pushpanjali College of Education. The assembly highlighted the importance of scientific thinking, innovation, and the contribution of science in everyday life and national development. Students actively participated in the assembly and shared valuable information related to scientific discoveries and advancements. The programme encouraged curiosity, critical thinking, and interest in scientific learning among the students. The celebration also emphasized the importance of developing a scientific attitude for the progress of society and the nation.

World Poetry Day was observed on 2 March 2026 through a special assembly conducted by the Rucha Club. The assembly highlighted the importance of equality, inclusion, respect for diversity, and the need to build a society free from discrimination. Various activities were conducted to promote World Poetry Day and encourage appreciation for literature and creative expression among students. Students actively participated in poetry-related activities and showcased their creativity, language skills, and confidence. The programme helped in spreading awareness about social harmony, acceptance, and the beauty of poetic expression.

International Women’s Day was celebrated on 6 March 2026 through a special assembly conducted by the F.Y. Student Council. The assembly highlighted the achievements, contributions, and empowerment of women in various fields and emphasized the importance of gender equality and respect for women in society. Students actively participated through speeches and presentations that focused on women’s rights, leadership, and social contributions. The programme inspired students to value equality, confidence, and empowerment while encouraging respect and appreciation for women in all spheres of life.

Pi Day was observed on 13 March 2026 through a special assembly conducted by the Pushpaganit Club of Pushpanjali College of Education. The assembly highlighted the importance of digital learning in modern education and the significance of Mathematics and the value of Pi in scientific and mathematical calculations. Various games and activities were conducted by the students to make the celebration interactive and enjoyable. All the students participated enthusiastically and showcased teamwork, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills through the activities. The programme encouraged the use of digital tools for learning and promoted creativity and active participation among the students.

World Consumer Rights Day was observed on 16 March 2026 through a special assembly conducted by Immensa Club. The assembly highlighted the importance of consumer awareness, informed decision-making, and the significance of vaccination in protecting public health and preventing diseases. A role play was performed on Consumer Rights Day, which effectively conveyed the rights and responsibilities of consumers in society. Various activities were also conducted to create awareness and encourage active participation among the students. The programme helped students understand the importance of consumer protection, health awareness, and social responsibility.

Mahavir Jayanti was observed on 30 March 2026 through a special assembly conducted by Ms. Vibhuti. The assembly highlighted the life, teachings, and principles of Lord Mahavir, especially the values of peace, non-violence, truth, compassion, and self-discipline. Students were made aware of the importance of practicing kindness, tolerance, and respect towards all living beings. The assembly helped in promoting moral values and encouraged students to follow the path of simplicity and harmony in their daily lives.

A National School Visit was organized on 7 April 2026 for the F.Y.B.Ed. students as part of their educational exposure and learning experience. During the visit, the students attended a workshop on “Charged Classroom,” which provided valuable insights into innovative teaching strategies, classroom engagement, and effective learning techniques. The students actively participated in the workshop and gained practical knowledge related to classroom management and interactive teaching methods. The visit proved to be informative and enriching for the student teachers. The students were accompanied by Ms. Steffi and Ms. Serina throughout the visit.

A Poster Making Competition and Debate Competition on Integral Humanism were organized on 8 April 2026 for F.Y. students. The activities aimed at encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and understanding of philosophical and value-based education concepts. Students actively participated in the poster making competition and expressed their ideas creatively through meaningful visuals and messages. In the debate competition, participants presented strong arguments on Integral Humanism, showcasing their communication skills, confidence, and analytical thinking. The programme helped in developing intellectual awareness, expression skills, and value-based understanding among the students.

World Earth Day was observed on 20 April 2026 through a special assembly conducted by Ms. Larisa. The assembly highlighted the importance of protecting the environment, conserving natural resources, and promoting sustainable living practices. Students were made aware of environmental issues such as pollution, deforestation, and climate change, and were encouraged to take responsibility for protecting the Earth. The assembly inspired students to adopt eco-friendly habits and contribute towards a cleaner, greener, and healthier planet.

A Farewell Programme was organized on 22 April 2026 for the S.Y.B.Ed. students, presented by the F.Y.B.Ed. students. The programme was filled with emotions, gratitude, and memorable moments as students came together to bid goodbye to their seniors. Various performances, speeches, and presentations were organized to appreciate the journey, achievements, and contributions of the S.Y.B.Ed. students. The programme created a warm and emotional atmosphere, strengthening the bond between juniors and seniors. It concluded with heartfelt wishes for success, happiness, and a bright future for the outgoing batch.

English Language Day and World Book Day were observed on 24 April 2026 through a special assembly conducted by the Rucha Club. The assembly emphasized the importance of the English language in global communication and highlighted the significance of reading habits and protection of intellectual property through copyright awareness. Various activities such as bookmark making and reading sessions were conducted to promote interest in books and literature. A library session was also organized, encouraging students to develop regular reading habits and appreciate the value of books in enhancing knowledge and imagination.

The Degree Distribution Ceremony for Batch 2022–24 was held on 2 May 2026 with great pride and celebration. The programme marked the successful completion of the academic journey of the graduating students, honouring their hard work, dedication, and achievements throughout the course. During the ceremony, scholarships and certificates were also awarded to meritorious students in recognition of their academic excellence and achievements. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Subhash, Vice Principal of St. Joseph College, who served as the Chief Guest for the programme. The event was attended by faculty members, dignitaries, and students, making it a memorable occasion filled with joy and accomplishment. Degrees were conferred to the graduates, followed by inspiring words of appreciation and encouragement for their future endeavours. The ceremony concluded on an emotional and celebratory note, wishing the graduates success in their professional and personal lives.

A special assembly on Autistic Pride Day was conducted at Pushpanjali College of Education on 18 June 2026 by Ms. Ancia. The assembly aimed to create awareness about autism and promote understanding, acceptance, inclusion, and respect for individuals on the autism spectrum. Students were encouraged to recognize the unique strengths, abilities, and contributions of autistic individuals and to develop a positive and inclusive attitude towards diversity. The programme emphasized the importance of empathy, equal opportunities, and creating supportive learning environments for all. 

A special assembly on World Environment Day was conducted at Pushpanjali College of Education on 19 June 2026 by Ms. Evita and Ms. Dream. The assembly focused on creating awareness about the importance of protecting the environment and adopting sustainable practices in daily life. Students were sensitized to issues such as pollution, conservation of natural resources, waste management, and the need to protect biodiversity. The programme encouraged students to develop environmentally responsible habits and inspired them to contribute towards creating a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment. 

A special assembly was conducted at Pushpanjali College of Education on 16 July 2026 to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Management Day. The programme highlighted the significance of faith, gratitude, and service.The contribution of the management towards the growth and development of the institution was also acknowledged.Students and staff participated enthusiastically in the celebration.The programme included meaningful presentations and messages expressing appreciation and respect.The celebration concluded with a message of unity, gratitude, and commitment towards the institution. 

International Plastic Free Day was celebrated at Pushpanjali College of Education with the aim of creating awareness about the harmful effects of plastic and promoting eco-friendly practices. As part of the celebration, a Paper Bag Making Competition was organised to encourage students to adopt sustainable alternatives to plastic bags. Students enthusiastically participated and prepared attractive and innovative paper bags using eco-friendly materials. The activity provided an opportunity for students to showcase their creativity while understanding the importance of reducing plastic usage. The programme concluded with a message encouraging everyone to adopt sustainable habits and contribute towards a cleaner, greener, and plastic-free environment.
