Cocurricular activities 2019-20

The B.Ed batch of 2018-2020 experienced this rich cultural environment where participation and involvement in activities led to the all-round development of the students and their skill-set. Sister Manager Sushila and Principal Dr. Mabel Pimenta is the backbone of all events. Ms. Heather Gabriel has been the driving force behind these events. Celebrations of festivals and such as Diwali and Christmas or of important days such as Gandhi Jayanti and Pushpanjali Day and Marathi through cultural music, dance, drama and competitions commemorate the diversity of our country. Such activities also encourage healthy competition and talent 

Teachers Day Celebration 

On 5 th September Teachers Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and vigour. The day began with a solemn prayer service and tribute to Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishn. Students Council organized variety entertainment programme for the staff. 

Pushpanjali Day Celebration

 1st of October was observed as Pushpanjali day to commemorate the feast day of our patroness, St Therese of Lisieux. The day began with Holy Mass celebrated by Fr Amol Gonsalves. In his message he elaborated on the virtues of St Therese and exhorted the faculty and staff to emulate the great saint through little acts of service. A dramatized presentation on the life of St Therese helped everyone to reflect over her work. 

Diwali Celebration 

On 22nd 23rd and 24th October 2019 a three day Diwali Celebration was held. During these days various events held were Poster making, Rangoli and Aarti Thali decoration, Lantern making and Stall competition. All the students participated in these events. 

Student Council Elections 

On 23rd November 2019 the Student Council Elections were held in order to select the student council members who would be representatives of their class. A total of 12 students contested for the elections. The elections were held with a voting system in order to select the candidates.

 Welcome to first year students

 On 23rd November 2019, the S.Y.B.Ed students conducted a Fresher‟s party for the F.Y.B.ED students along with the help of the Professors. The S.Y students welcomed the F.Y. students with a song. There were dance performances and games held for the students. The Freshers' party centred around the theme 'The Era of the 90's‟. 

Talent  Display

On 26th November 2019, Talent hunt programme provided a platform to first year students to showcase their talent on-stage as well as off-stage. Various performances like dance, singing, instrumental music, monoacting were put up by the students. In off-stage talent the students displayed sketches, paintings, homemade decorative articles, knitted items etc. 

Investiture Ceremony 

On 4th December 2019, the Investiture Ceremony was held. The ceremony was held in the presence of the Manager Sr.Sushila D‟silva, Principal Dr. Mabel Pimenta and all the staff and students. In this ceremony the newly elected members had to take oath of fulfilling their responsibilities. The Chairperson expressed his gratitude to all. 

Christmas Celebration 

Christmas was celebrated with festive spirit on 21st and 23rd December 2019. On this occasion Card making, Carol singing competitions and a Tableau were held. „Secret Santa‟ event of exchanging gifts was equally enjoyed by students as well as the teaching and non-teaching staff. 

Sports Day

 On 22nd February 2020, sports day event was held for the students of F.Y.B.ED. The sports meet began at 8.30 am with a prayer service followed by an oath. The chief guest of the event, Dr Sheetal Chaudhari was welcomed. She spoke a few motivating words and declared the sports meet open. Track and field events were conducted. Indoor games like carrom and chess were held.
