It's Spooky Month

Hello everyone, Helfry here kicking off a brand new season of Helfry ranks memes and it’s been nearly 3 months since i’ve done one of these, it’s also been a good while since i’ve read you all the rules when it comes to meme ranking and also how I rank the memes so let’s get to those first. Here’s how I rank these memes. I look for a meme suitable for ranking, (I usually go on to know your meme for my meme searching duties) I talk about its origins, I talk about my thoughts on it if I can and I finally rank it on a scale of one to ten. And as for the rules however, They are as follows: Rule #1 I will not be ranking any memes that are considered NSFW (Not Safe For Work) because I don’t want anyone putting clorox bleach in their eyes when they see the image I put on my article. Rule #2 Any meme that I find cringy will be avoided because I learned my lesson when I ranked the minion memes (If you don’t know what i mean, please refer to my article on February 9th 2022) I somehow made a whole new article series where I do rants on random things. Anyways this section is going on for too long, so without any further ado let’s get into it!
#1 Pizza Time: This meme a simply just a quote in the 2004 film Spider 2 muttered by Peter Parker starred by Tobey Maguire to be specific after he delivers what appears to be several boxes of pizzas while working as a pizza delivery boy, however he was a tad bit too late and the operator in one of the floors says that their not paying for the pizza, Seriously that’s pretty cruel! Imagine that you’re working as a pizza delivery boy and the person getting their pizza delivered says that they're not paying for it all because you were just a few minutes late. Now that is just a real pain in the butt, even when you tell them that there was a lot of traffic they’re still not gonna take it from you! Anyways even though this meme is memorable to many, it may leave a mental scar on anyone if that same event actually happens in real life 6/10.
#2 Lario: Here We have another Pizza Tower meme, It’s Simply just a slideshow of a single copy pasted photo edit of the title cards of one of the stages of the game, Gnome Forest along with a mashup of the songs Superstar By Young Thug and Sneaky Snitch by Kevin Macleod (Who is a legendary royalty-free music composer, I might add) and the image itself is basically a joke among McPig’s Sprite Streams. In Fact this meme was so popular the secret stage theme would be changed from “A Secret In the Trees” to “Everybody Wants To Be A Secret” which is a reference to one of the lyrics to the aforementioned former song. And Of course there’s a bunch music remixes of them, my favorite of which being the hotel mario version which is good and all but one gripe i have with it is that lario and muigi swapped clothes with one another, but overall it’s a very catchy meme and i really hope to see more pizza tower memes in the future, 10/10 It’s a Masterpiece
#3 I’m Not Gonna Sugarcoat It: Okay so this meme is pretty hard to explain but I will do my best to explain the kinks of it. It’s basically just a phrase used throughout the fighting game community especially Tekken and the sound effect used alongside it is actually a compound sound effect between the Bye Felicia “Damn” Sound effect from 1995 film “Friday” (Not to be confused by the day of the week) and the classic Vine boom sound effect, overall i think it’s pretty cool it hypes up a sick moment in a fighting game and because of that it gets a 10/10 two masterpieces in a row let’s go.
Anyway that's it for me and also it’s currently October at the time i’m writing this part of the article, so expect another halloween themed article from me anyways i hope you enjoy it and i’ll see you all next time.
Hello Everyone, Helfry here and holy moly it has been a good while since i’ve done a ranting article and it’s for good reason. In the last episode I talked about three of the most notorious and infamous fandoms back in June, and afterwards it went on a hiatus for the summer. This is because I haven’t gotten any new things to rant about all summer long, so anyways let’s not waste anymore time and get on with it.
Original Characters Or OC for short, they have been a staple of many artist’s and fan artist's lives but what are they really. According to my short research on Wikipedia, an original character is and I quote “A fictional character created by an author or artist, usually one from a fanwork that is not present in the official canon” some OCs are even used in original works like books, comics and even animations, video games, etc. Now what is it that I don't like about OCs you people might be asking? Well the answer is simple… the creators themselves, now I completely understand that some artists treat their characters like their babies, their little munchkins if you will. I mean they’re the ones who created them out of love and affection, but some people can be a bit overprotective when it comes to people drawing certain fanart of them, some are completely understandable, like they don’t wanna see fetish art of their OCs who are minors, no NSFW art of them either. But in the terms that if it ever happens with my OCs I wouldn’t be mad, I would be impressed that they seemingly know about anatomy to make such risqué art of them. But of course you need to at least set some boundaries when it comes to people making art like that. I myself have seen many art like that and for some reason I don’t even get taken aback, It’s almost like my brain has seen them so much that it makes it seem normal for me.
Another thing that I don't like about OC creators is that they like to “request” other people to draw their OCs, some of the requests are okay, but oftentimes the requests are just over the top, and they like to bombard people’s profile pages with them. Maybe that’s why some artists don’t do requests, and the people that used to do requests have them permanently closed, meaning that they might be sick and tired of getting bombarded with such risqué and disgusting requests. Plus It’s even one of the many reasons why I never post anything on my deviantART account, I’m just not ready for the responsibility. Anyways about those fetish artists they’re the kinds of people who’d look at something innocent and find it “hot” such as blowing bubblegum or bouncing on space hoppers, innocent things like that and you know what… that’s okay you can have the most ridiculous or innocent fetish possible and I won’t judge you for that , just as long as the character is at or above the age of 18, anywhere underneath is strictly prohibited except for the innocent ones. and as long as you keep your fantasies to yourself, no normal person would want to hear what makes you feel aroused.
So yeah that’s all for me for today. I deeply apologize for the summer hiatus and I'll make sure I'll do more ranting articles. Anyways thanks for reading and i’ll see you all next time!

UPDATE 11/21/23: I finally have enough money to ride the MTA bus to Midtown to film the electric gate shown on the bottom column of this article's header!
Hello, everyone. I have great news for those who don’t have Metrocards. Not many people (who don’t have Metrocards) know this– but you can actually pay with cash on NYC buses!
You can pay with dimes, nickels, and quarters. Pennies, half-dollar coins, and dollar bills are not accepted. Ensure you have the exact change, because the money goes to a little box that even the bus driver/operator cannot access. I felt relieved to hear this. With this helpful information, I can go to Manhattan and film electric gates over there. Behind my high school is a building on W 51st Street called the Clinton Manor Apartments.
The gate opener all 3 gates had was from PowerMaster. Each replacement gate has their own opener. When the first replacement gate, which is model SG, was replaced with the second and current gate in 2015, the previous replacement gate opener, which is model RSG, was replaced in 2016 with another different model, which also still stands to this day. The current gate opener model is DSG, according to PowerMaster’s website. The first one was SG. Corlear Gardens also replaced their chainlink fencing and gates with steel and replaced their PowerMaster gate openers from SG to DSG.
As of 10/03/23, I went on a class trip to Dunkin’. I have 3 dollars, I purchased one classic donut, and got a few quarters and dimes in return. Just a few more and I can take the bus to Manhattan!
And maybe if I have even more time, I can explore Midtown Manhattan if no homeless people flood the areas.
That will be it for today.

No one seemed to talk about this. But it’s time to talk about it now since NYC and NJ are in flames about this. Are you a resident living below south of 60th street? Do you see vehicles moving slowly? Do the MTA buses appear to operate more inconvenient for you? Do you hear a mashup of car/truck horns honking?
If you have answered “yes” to any of these questions, Midtown Manhattan has been going through some ridiculous traffic jams. The traffic jams are caused by people who casually drive to Midtown for no “productive” reason. This is due to the fact that the NYC Subway is congested with thugs and homeless people all the time (Thanks, Deblasio) and also because of the 1-year pandemic.
In August of 2022, the MTA proposed a plan to have drivers pay somewhere between $9 and $23 dollars to enter below south of 60th street. This is to stop the inconvenience of getting anywhere by car, truck, or bus in Midtown Manhattan, because we know they can’t just pay it. This is also to expand ridership on subways and buses, and to raise $1 billion-dollar revenue, to help finance capital projects like extending the Second Avenue Subway to Harlem and modernizing signals.
This is also deemed as ridiculous, because who in their right mind would have drivers and other motorists pay up to a rounded $30 dollars to enter a different area?! As if going through a bridge owned by the same agency crossing Kappock to Dyckman streets wasn’t enough of a money grab, we have to make below south of 60th street a bigger money grab?!
If you’re going to Brooklyn, which will require you to take the FDR Drive, or the West Side highway, you won’t be affected as long as you stay on the road of the highway you already took. New Jersey is also against the toll, and they showed that by filing a federal lawsuit. London has had a tolling system for a long time.
The $23 dollar toll entering south below 60th street will take place sometime in Spring 2024.

UPDATE 11/20/23: The R211 train cars are currently in the process of having updated electronic strip maps.
UPDATE 02/08/23: The R211 train cars are currently attached to the A and C lines.
This is a Manhattan-bound A Train. The next stop is: Dyckman Street. Stand clear of the closing doors, please!
Greetings to all subway riders. It’s time to talk about something that Helfry and Noah didn’t talk about yet. The new train car of the NYC subway. The number code is R211, and is currently operating on the A, C lines, and the Staten Island Shuttle. The R211 allows you to walk past train cars. This is called an open gangway. The open gangway R211 is assigned to local trains, such as the C.
This was disallowed on previous train cars NOT counting the old-school ones. The new train car also has wider doors, security cameras (finally), LED displays, blue text, and LED lights in between the doors, kinda like an elevator. The text also indicates which side the doors will open on.
The exterior is a mix of grey and blue. The interior has white walls, black arrows with a yellow background below the doors, blue seats, and blue floors. The only thing that will never change is the fact the R211 makes loud chugging noises, like past train cars.
Here’s to hoping I ride it one day…

This is a Brooklyn-bound D-train. The next stop is—...
Hello, everyone. Today, I will talk about a train car that is retired as of 2022. It’s the R32 train car. In 1964, the R32 train car was built. The R32 was to serve on the D line. The exterior color was all grey. Inside has beige walls. The R32 began service later this decade. This train car has played roles in numerous childhoods according to YouTube comments. Fast-forward to December 2021.
December marked the last month of the R32 train cars. In January 2022, they officially retired. Thanks to vandals, the R32 train cars did not have a proper farewell ceremony. Most of them are scrapped, some of them are used as artificial reefs, and some of them are preserved in the NYC Transit Museum. Very few R32 train cars are still alive in 2023.
Most of the currently existing ones will eventually be replaced with the R211 train cars.
