-BROADWAY BRIDGE-

The Broadway Bridge is an elevator-type of bridge that connects from the Bronx to Manhattan. The bridge is programmed to lift up to make way for huge ships to pass through and for cars and bikes to pass through. During my childhood, I would ride through it on the school bus to pick up kids on the other side to get to school basically. This occurred in all school years except Summer 2017, Summer 2019, and the 2019-2020 school year as far as I remember.

Above the bridge are train tracks for subway trains to pass through. The bridge is also open to pedestrians. The bridge vibrates when a majority of cars and subway trains pass through. Driving through the bridge will also cause the sound of a shepard’s tone, or something from Silent Hill PT when you get to the red room in the game.

On one side, you can see the Henry Hudson Bridge, a few apartment buildings, and train tracks for Amtrak trains to pass under the bridge. On the other side, you can see more apartment buildings, a Marshalls, Target, and once again, the train below the bridge. The bridge can be seen from the view of high-rise buildings (to name a few), the Henry Hudson Bridge, and the Harlem River Drive. The bridge also used to have gate arms which were removed in 2022 for some reason. Since Helfry, my classmate likes trains, it is my obligatory to say a specific subway train going above the broadway bridge is the NYC 1 Train. The Broadway Bridge also went through two replacements.

-HENRY HUDSON BRIDGE-

The Henry Hudson Bridge is a toll bridge in the shape of a wide arch that automatically leads you to Manhattan and the Henry Hudson, Molshu and Saw Mill River Parkways. There are two roads on the bridge. A level above going North and a level below going South. The bridge is also open to pedestrians on the lower level only. On one side, you can see a mix of buildings, train tracks, boats, a huge letter “C”, the water, and the Broadway Bridge, making it a scenic view. On the other side, you can see the Spuyten Duyvil bridge and trees. When you actually make it across the bridge, trees will block the view (if going south) and buildings too (if going north). The Northbound Dyckman Exit and the Southbound Kappock Exit on the parkway is the last exit before paying tolls and crossing the bridge. Driving through it also causes a sound that sounds like another sound from the Red Room in Silent Hill PT. I guess the team recorded sounds of vehicle bridges and highway noises to make eerie sounds for the game.

During the Summer 2017 and the 2019-2020 school years we would take the bridge to get to IS90/PWHS. There was one time where we took the bridge back to a few of our homes in the Summer 2019 school year and never again. My uncle and mother’s cars have EZPass tokens. That doesn’t mean you’ll go off the hook as you still have to pay the toll when you get home, or else your driver’s license gets suspended. The bridge and parkways were named after a famous person who was exploring various areas. I eventually went back on the bridge by accident when my school bus in the 2021-2022 school year was originally supposed to take the Northbound Dyckman exit.

-SPUYTEN DUYVIL BRIDGE-

The Spuyten Duyvil Bridge is a rotation/swing-type of bridge that turns around to make way for boats passing through the Harlem River. These specific boats pass under the Henry Hudson and Broadway Bridges before and after passing through the Spuyten Duyvil Bridge. All bridges connect from Manhattan to New York. The only mode of transportation available on the Spuyten Duyvil Bridge is taking the Amtrak trains. Open to pedestrians? Obviously not.

-GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE-

The George Washington Bridge is a very long bridge that connects from New York to New Jersey and is above the Henry Hudson Parkway. It's said it takes 2.8 hours to cross the bridge. The bridge can be seen from various high-rise apartment buildings on Irwin Avenue, Marble Hill, and 232nd St. on apartments facing south. The bridge is also very busy, as seen from the amount of vehicles on it. Crossing the bridge is probably a nightmare with the amount of traffic. Open to pedestrians? Yes. My mother has driven through the bridge, but I haven't experienced the ride. The bridge is also named after the first president of the United States.

Hello everybody! Today we will talk about prom and graduation. Prom is all about dance parties inside schools, and graduation is when you have improved from your current level and are ready to move on to the next level.  This case has happened to school this year. The graduates in our class as of 2022 were Gabriela, Justin, and Jeffrieal. Check our homepage banner to see us.

Every year, we decide on what the prom theme will be. This year, we chose “Enchanted Forest.” Basically, the theme visual for this year is supposed to be a FOREST. The sets consisted of trees and mushrooms.

Another thing that goes on during prom is songs. During some proms, requests are open. During other proms, requests are closed! And during other proms, requests are only open BEFORE the prom, after that, requests are closed when the prom takes action. The rules are obvious for what the song must NOT consist of.

No jokes about murder

No negativity in general

We all had a good time during the prom and graduation parties. After the graduation slideshow and speeches, we ate pizza, chips (of various flavors), popcorn, and cake. 

Keep in mind, Justin as in Justin Lowe is graduating. No more movie reviews will be done unless there’s someone else to take his place next year. I actually liked him, Jeffrieal, and Gabriela. Like him, I watch Thomas and Friends, SML, and SMG4.

As for Gabriela, we watched a lot of similar things on YouTube. We also filmed the elevators at PWHS together. And as for Jeffrieal, We also filmed the elevators at PWHS together. I would have loved to expand this concept to Corlear Gardens and Tibbett Towers and (almost) all other properties with an elevator that I filmed it in.

We will miss you all!

Update September 9th, 2022: Justin L and Jeffrieal are back!!! Except for Gabriela. Ms. Sarah C told me this was because of a lack of attendance from her...

Let’s talk about Covid. It’s basically the flu but worse. I got Covid on June 9th. The experience was bad. I felt weak and I couldn’t go to school. I was light-headed and was sleeping for hours. I eventually felt a bit better as time went on, but not fully. I eventually stopped feeling light-headed but I was coughing! The coughing went on all next week. I was then absent from school all next week because I got Covid. My mother then told me that drinking water will help. So I drank water, (almost the entire gallon of water) in an attempt to save myself from Covid and go to school for the prom and graduation events.

I needed to use the bathroom a lot after drinking that much water. I probably got Covid because I kept wearing the same mask in an attempt to “save money” by not having to wear one every time. But I still had to. Maybe next time I’ll consider switching masks more often. Noah wrote about Covid tips! Please check them out here, It will make him very happy!
