Update 06/01/23: Rebate has not taken action.
If you are a tenant of the Bronx, this story is for you. Many Bronx residents who drive cars have always been discouraged from crossing from Manhattan to the Bronx in a faster way, which was the Henry Hudson Bridge. Decades ago, driving past the toll booth gates cost only 10 cents. Over the years, the MTA, who are also the people that manage NYC’s subway systems kept upping the prices. From 10 cents to a rounded 8 dollars (3 with ez-pass) by car.
Some people would purposely drive through without pay, only to get their car towed away. (As a consequence of not paying.) In April 2019, Jeffrey Dinowitz, a New York State Representative took action and began a toll rebate program for the Henry Hudson Bridge.
According to Dinowitz, all Bronx residents that take Exit 17 northbound has caused traffic congestion for City Bus riders, and overall on the northbound road of the NYC Broadway Bridge, a bridge which is visible from the Henry Hudson Bridge.
With the toll rebate, Bronx tenants with a car and ez-pass registered in the Bronx County will be able to drive freely across the Henry Hudson Bridge. This rebate was supposed to be actioned by 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the rebate has been postponed. Dinowitz also mentioned that Bronx tenants who wish to go to Manhattan (without pay) should take the NYC Broadway Bridge. This implies a free drive across the Henry Hudson Bridge is northbound only.
On 04/18/23, I found out about the rebate as my mother, uncle and I were heading home from Brooklyn via the Ocean Parkway, Hugh L Carey Tunnel, Joe DiMaggio Highway, and the Henry Hudson Parkway. My uncle was the one driving us because my mother doesn’t want to lose her parking. My mother asked my uncle if he was charged for driving us across the Henry Hudson Bridge on 12/30/22 (as a promise made for me if I let the doctor perform a blood test on me) to which my uncle doesn’t remember.
I suggested we do a risk-taker. Both my mother and uncle disagreed on that term. For that day, we just took Exit 17 and as for me, I await to know if the rebate program officially took action, because, on the night of the 4th of July, I want us to go for a northbound ride // drive on the Henry Hudson Bridge so I can see the fireworks, and see the view overall. The view is much better going northbound because the southbound road is under // far behind the northbound road until you pass Exits 18 (northbound) and 14 (southbound).

Hello everyone. I have decided to write a topic on our school dance parties. This topic is about requests taken in a brand new style.
During previous parties, we had all songs that DIDN’T exceed the limit of 30 // 40 minutes in the form of a playlist. This was also bad because some songs were too long to have a request submitted. We played what we could. That changed on March 27, 2023.
All requests were submitted in a Google Form I created. The deadline was April 4th, 2023 at 9:00pm EDT, because the dance was April 5, 2023 and I needed to get sleep. I began mixing all requests into 1 track day by day.
Here are all the tracks that made it in.

All sound samples used were the elevator doors closing at Waldo & Corlear Gardens, NEW electric gate A at Corlear Gardens closing, and the “doors closing” voice lines on the NYC subway and city buses.
Everyone was mostly shocked at the “doors closing” voice line on the subway trains. This would be a dance party to remember and I hope we can do it again.
I made “1st request”, “2nd request”, “insert link here” and name entry sections to make it easier for me to mix a number of songs together. My voice was getting hoarse and I was coughing uncontrollably. Last Sunday night on 04/02/23, I took a Covid test and only the “C” line showed up even after 15 minutes. This meant I could still go to school for the next 3 days. Both my hoarse voice and coughing didn’t stop me from having fun at the PBIS party on 04/05/23, which was also the release of the 2023 Super Mario Bros. Movie.
Shoutouts to the assistant principal for trusting me around the speakers!
UPDATE 04/18/23: I rode another elevator for the first time! I guess such dedication really pays off for my mixing and dancing while my voice was hoarse and I was coughing uncontrollably.
Bye for now.
Hey everyone and there will be no intro for today because this is personal. Now I have a bit of a small gripe with some of the rules schools typically have and I’m completely aware that some other people have talked about this subject before but this is going to be in my own style, in other words article form. First things first there is this rule where you’re not allowed to wear any hats or hoods; I don’t get it because what if you got a haircut and the barber somehow messed up at one point during the process. You have to cover it up with something but the teacher won't let you, so you take off the hat or hood and then kablammo your terrible haircut is being shown to the entire classroom and then the other classmates just straight up start laughing at you and calling you names. I don’t want to become known as the yee yee hair kid. That's not how I'm supposed to go okay? My barber tried their best so there’s no need to make fun of me for it. And then there’s the dress codes, oh boy the dress codes now some schools can be extremely strict when it comes to clothing and that especially applies to the girls, like they’re not allowed to show a little bit of their shoulder. It’s not like the whole class is gonna get distracted just because a girl is wearing a shirt that’s showing her shoulders, And yeah some of these dress code rules make sense, such as kids are not allowed to wear short shorts, midriffs or have their hair dyed an unnatural color but this one rule just ruins it not only for me but also the girls, and worst of all some schools would literally have students wear their school uniforms and if you don’t have one, they provide them for you. It’s almost like they don’t want us to be stylish in the first place. And last but not least there’s the no food in class rule, this rule honestly makes sense for the most part, not only is eating in class very disruptive, but it’s also very disrespectful, but what if I missed lunch somehow and I need to get something from the vending machine, surely I need to eat something but I have to wait until I get home to eat it; even if i did get a chip or two in, it’s basically impossible to hide your snacks because the teachers have really great eyesight and will actually see what’s in your desk and if they see an open bag of chips then it’s off to either the principal’s office or detention if you’re lucky or unlucky for that matter, There are many more school rules that i find unusual or flat out terrible but those were the three popular school rules that most people and I think could have been executed way better anyways that’s it for me, thanks for reading and i’ll see you next time.
(PS: I've decided to rebrand my thumbnails for my ranting articles from here on out by giving my avatar some sweet new poses instead of just me holding one arm out and looking all angry and stuff, also if you're wondering what i'm saying here it's "You had one job, schools!" anyways i'll see you all next time)
