We're back on our usual article routine. Summer felt like more funtime for us.

Ah, yes. Harlem River Drive. The highway that is visible from the Major Deegan Expressway, the highway you take to get to East River Plaza for all shopping needs, and the highway I took to get to IS90 in my middle school times.
-DESCRIBING THE HIGHWAY-
Now, like the Henry Hudson Parkway, traffic can happen on the Harlem River Drive, too. Your highway journey begins on Dyckman Street (if you’re going southbound). You can see buildings, the river, and Major Deegan Expressway in the distance. You also drive under eleven bridges. (As in the Washington Bridge, (not to be confused with the George Washington Bridge) Alexander Hamilton Bridge, Pedestrian Highbridge, Macombs Dam Bridge, 145th Street/Harlem River Swing Bridge, Madison Avenue Bridge, Park Avenue Bridge, Third Avenue Bridge, Willis Avenue Bridge, Harlem River Lift Span, and the Ward’s Island Bridge.)
In 2020 on the RFK bridge, a “northbound-only” HRD exit ramp was built which allows you to automatically drive to the Harlem River Drive after going on the RFK bridge if you’re going northbound.
-THE PAST OF THE HIGHWAY-
One day I was looking up Harlem River Drive on Google. I saw surprising results from a number of websites I can’t even name about its past! The Harlem River Drive used to be a speedway for horse races in the 1900s. It stretched from 155th Street in Washington Heights to Dyckman Street in Inwood. Vehicles and cyclists were banned back then. More info I saw was that the speedway became a tourist attraction years later. People were watching horse races and enjoying the view of the Harlem River.
-THE DAY THE HARLEM RIVER DRIVE CAME TO BE-
On the websites where I was given the information from, it also said a guy named “Robert Moses” was planning to convert the speedway into a highway, connecting other highways together, such as Henry Hudson Parkway, Major Deegan Expressway, and the George Washington/RFK Bridges.
-“HARLEM HELLFIGHTERS DRIVE” SIGN ON THE HIGHWAY?-
As you drive through the highway, you will notice a sign saying “369 Harlem Hellfighters Drive.” That is because the highway was also called Harlem Hellfighters Drive. According to a website about armies, The drive was named after an army in World War 1. The nickname was given by Germans.
-HARLEM RIVER DRIVE AS A SONG?-
A 70’s song by Bobbi Humphrey called “Harlem River Drive” in the album “Blacks and Blues” was released to the public. The song is about, as the name suggests, a ride on the Harlem River Drive. Two decades later, a band called “Marden Hill” made a cover of the song. The original song and cover consist of flute interludes throughout, both accompanied by backing vocals.
I hope you learned something interesting from this and I hope to see you all again soon!

Are you new here to the beginning of a new story arc? Well. We were operating a business in 2021 which goes by the name of the “PWHS Snack Store”, which we ran starting February 2022, and we plan on running it again starting October 2022.
Ms. Sarah C says she goes to East River Plaza (Costco) to get all the snacks to fill up the inventory. We plan on running the snack store again in October 2022. For that, we are in the process of going on biweekly class field trips to East River Plaza (Costco) to get the usual sweet snacks and healthy snacks to fill up the inventory.
Usually, we might go every Monday, but Ms. Sarah C stated it felt unreasonable to go on weekly field trips to the ERP if our inventory is still holding up strong after sales, so we chose to go on biweekly field trips to see what happens with the inventory over time.
The entire plaza where Costco is located has a huge number of elevators. Much to my demise, Costco is located on the first floor. Maybe one day, we might give some other stores a chance. But it might be highly unlikely. Anyways, I'll let you know how day one goes when we actually go on the trip!

Hey! How’s it going, everyone? Park West High School is starting to have a new School Principal for this school year. I bet you’re wondering who the assistant principal is? It is a lady who worked at Chelsea Prep (P.S. 33) years ago because when I was little, I saw her there and her name is Ms. Karen. That’s who! I wonder how long she worked at Chelsea Prep (P.S. 33) before she moved on to Park West. I am very happy to see her again since the elementary school that I used to go to. Now, it’s Ms. Karen’s first time working at Park West as her new experience. Ms. Karen has been an assistant principal for 138M for 16 years. She has supervised various sites within 138M. Her current buildings are Park West High School and 380. Sites she has supervised throughout the years 33, 47, 114 and this past summer she was at 189. Ms. Karen loves watching the students succeed. One thing that makes her really happy is when She meets a student from Kindergarten, which happens to be me, Noah, and Ms. Karen sees them again in High School and sees how independent they have become. There are many students at Park West that she has known since Kindergarten. She also enjoys supporting teachers and seeing their growth. Ms. Karen loves seeing special events such as dances, proms, graduations, but what she finds the most challenging is the bussing situation! Ms. Karen is excited that Covid restrictions are lifted, and we can now incorporate fun things again. She is also open to student and staff suggestions. Those are her two changes for what she would see at Park West! Ms. Karen loves going to music concerts. Sometimes she goes 1-2 times a month. Her son is in 8th grade and sometimes they go to concerts together and that time is really special. Ms. Karen attended three concerts with him this year (Twenty-one Pilots, Imagine Dragons and Machine Gun Kelly- his choices (but she had fun). Ms. Karen’s advice for students this year is “Never give up on yourself. It may take time, but it will happen.” She said that because it means that even when changes become very challenging, the key is success/persevere! That’s a part of growing up! Now I know some more information about Ms. Karen! She is going to do great at Park West this School Year (2022-2023)!
I'm back from my break so why not do something special by doing a rant, it may be a little bit rocky but it will be okay regardless, anyways let’s not waste any more time and let’s jump into it!
You know what I really dislike, Micro SD cards. According to James Rolfe In Cinnemassacre He said: "They're not kidding, these things are dangerously small. They're smaller than a dime and not to mention you can easily lose them, like if you leave a few on your table look away for one second and next thing you know, they’re all gone. They can also be easily swallowed by infants and pets. It's almost like they made them small on purpose so you can lose them and buy more. The purpose of these ridiculously small cards is for cell phone storage because I guess regular SD cards just couldn’t fit. By the way have you seen the movie Zoolander? Ben Stiller’s Character has a cell phone that’s ridiculously small, it’s supposed to parody the fact that technology keeps getting smaller and smaller. There is a real world tactile limit on how small a phone can be because a human still has to interact with it. Well, whoever came up with this said “Who cares!” and made the most easily losable piece of technology possible! Sure most of these came with these plastic converter shells but then you end up getting 10 of these because they’re useless after you lose all of your SD Cards.
But they’re supposed to just hang out in your phone as storage right? It’s no biggie, they’re not going to be used that often, right? Nope there are a bunch of devices that only use these tiny abominations called micro SD cards for storage: Game Capture Devices, VR Cameras, Go Pros, etc. And if you need a large capacity SD card a lot of stores only have them in the micro variety, and if you do manage to buy one and somehow not lose it they have awful heat displacement, which means overheating is a huge problem, Which can cause recording errors or turn off the camera completely. And if that doesn’t tick you off try reading the text on it without a magnifying glass! You need to know this information and it’s written in this microscopic text!" you know what, we need to go back to using normal SD cards I really miss these days! Anyways that’s all for me, I hope you enjoyed this rant and I will see you all next time.
Also I may possibly do the same two articles a bit more often so just prepare your brains.

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide, No escape from reality.
As you all heard, Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8th, 2022. She was the queen of the Balmoral Castle for 70 years and 214 days. The first residence was built in 1390. It didn’t enter the hands of the British royal family until over 500 years later. In 1852, Queen Victoria paid her first visit to Scotland in the fall of 1842 with her husband Prince Albert.
She fell in love with the country estate, and the couple eventually purchased it in 1852. The residence that was on the property was too small for their growing family, so they demolished the property and built a castle in the location where the old home used to be.
Today, the castle has 150 buildings and is known for its beautiful arch
lecture, sweeping gardens, and fascinating royal history.
The castle was designed by Scottish architects John and William Smith. The father-son team drew up the plans around 1852, and the castle was officially completed in 1856. William Smith is not to be confused with Will Smith, and the Queen is not to be confused with the band Queen. Freddie Mercury, the lead vocalist of Queen, was diagnosed with AIDS in 1987. As for her royal majesty, she had health problems which caused her passing to take place at age 96.
Because this was a sad day, I was and kept listening to Bohemian Rhapsody, as in the Normal version, Muppets version, and Waluigi version because Bohemian Rhapsody sounds like a sad song (minus the electric guitar solo). I did listen to a bit of Don’t stop me now. I also hear the queen’s death has become a meme ever since for some reason.
The queen’s eldest son Prince Charles took her place as king of Balmoral Castle now. Let’s wish a good legacy continuation for both the Queen and Freddie Mercury.

Hello everyone, And welcome to Another entry of my ranting articles. So i’m gonna have to come up with more original content because I realized I’ve been copying and pasting the script from a certain youtuber who reviews many terrible games for well over a decade, you may already know who i’m talking about. So without any further ado let’s jump into it!!
You know what I hate: Smart boards, you know the thing that’s used in most schools and offices? So, you plug it in, Plug your computer or laptop in it and all you get is their equivalent of the Blue Screen Of Death! What am I missing? Do I need to plug something else in? Or do I have to fix the bulb that projects the screen? Look I don’t really know how most smart boards work but I know that most of them have a touchscreen, but sometimes it may click somewhere away from where you initially touched and that it needs to be recalibrated, but hey at least the recalibration process is quick and easy, all you do is touch near the corners of the screen and you’re good to go. But what if you need to let’s say plug your Nintendo Wii into this big screen, well what if I told you that some Smart Boards don’t allow AV out and that you need an HDMI Converter in order for it to work, That’s exactly what happened to our class, we had to get a converter for that exact same reason, not to mention that if you need to change the screen just a little bit sometimes you have to go up behind the screen and configure it yourself. So all in all smart boards are just way too complicated and just a bit too faulty to be used in a professional manner. I just wish there’d just be a remote to adjust the screen to my liking and there should also be more smart boards that accept both HDMI and AV out.
So that’s about it for this rant. I hope you enjoy it and I’ll see you all next time!

Hey Everyone, and here’s rather something that isn’t neither a Ranking Memes Article nor a Ranting Article and it’s something i’ve been thinking about for a week actually, and it’s going to be about the controllers used for my favorite entry in the Smash Bros series and of course that is Melee, who knew I would say that, Anyways let’s start off with the original Gamecube controller: Of course it has the original shell parts, original internals, and the original buttons, therefore it’s a classic controller for competitive use, that alongside the Wavebird, Nintendo’s official wireless Gamecube controller. Now let’s talk about those “Turbo” controllers for the Gamecube; they usually have the full off-brand package: The buttons usually feel cheap and gritty, The triggers could be raised too high which can be hard to tell If you’re fully pressing them, the Z Button just straight up doesn’t work, this is because it’s probably the button to turn off the turbo feature, more on that in a bit, the D-pad could take an ungodly amount of pressure to register, and sometimes the face buttons would squeak when they’re pressed which could possibly be ear-grating to some people. However besides all of these flaw a controller like this could have, it has something the official controllers don’t: A turbo button, how these usually work is that you press and hold the turbo button then pressing either a face button or shoulder button and now you have a button that mashes for you whenever you hold down the button you turbo’d. However you could probably rig the turbo feature to mash so fast that it could not be humanly possible, like you could possibly be able to do ridiculously fast Pikachu Jabs and Ness Down tilts just with this crazy turbo feature. Anyways the reason why turbo controllers are banned competitively is because technically it’s not you mashing, it’s just you holding down a button and the controller mashing for you, so I guess that ban really was for the better. Now let us witness something glorious. The modded controllers: these controllers are just what you think, controllers modded to make Smash Bros Melee more feasible, let’s talk about one of the mods shall we?The controller mod we’ll be talking about are the Firefox Notches, these notches basically allow you to perform extremely steep angles using the spacie’s Up-Bs and also allows you to perform different wavedash lengths using the lower notches, By the way controller mods like this one are still tournament viable because technically it’s still you doing these inputs, just with a little bit of guidance, But unfortunately though, Nothing lasts forever: these notches may ware down and would basically require you or preferably someone with expertise to redo the notches for you or replace them with a newer shell, the analog sticks may start to become loose which can cause potential drifting and to add salt to the wounds fixing them will charge you more money than installing the mods in the first place so all in all, it’s just a complete mess, but hey it will still be worth it in the end.
So that’s all for today, I hope you enjoy reading this article and I'll see you all next time!

CLASS V62
ELEVATOR REPRESENTATION
THEMES
By Jonathan Mnukhin
September 30th, 2022
Hello everybody, today I have decided to write about another set of graphical changes to our website. This also involves my elevator website, my commissioned snack store website for Ms. Sarah C, and my commissioned “soon-coming” website.
-CLASS V62-
While editing the website back in July, I noticed a glitch on the old March 2022 page. No matter what you do, there are glitches. Not even one photo would load.
This also disallowed you to do any more modifications or publish the updated website, unless you reload the tab. Since I was the only one who noticed this and no one else, it was up to me to create a revamped version of the old March 2022 page so no one else would encounter it.
Also, to prevent further errors, I moved all of my pieces on Smg4 and Friday night funkin’ into their own separate page which is still a work in progress, because some of them are still in February 2022 and April 2022.
As for my Q&A with students and staff, I have moved them to their own separate pages as requested by Ms. Sarah C, back in May.
All pages from 2021-2022 and onward have been redirected to their own section for less of a mess in the “Newsletter” tab. This might have caused some confusion, but we were flexible and moved on. “Class V62” was renamed to “THE NEWS CREW” in all capital letters.
-ELEVATOR REPRESENTATION-
You can now access my website through this link because the old link felt like spam to me. I do not have any further plans for the old link to my website as everything is now redirected to the new link. My website has buttons that lead you to a specific page for shortcuts.
Google has implemented a “social media” section for, well, social media links. It’s almost like Google read my mind! You can now download photos of all buildings I took and archived from the internet by clicking the button on top of the website.
-THEMES-
Class V62, Elevator Representation, Snack Store, and the “soon-coming” website have 4 themes. A normal theme, a “Garcello and SMG4” theme, a “Meggy and Tari” theme, and a monochrome theme.
The normal theme is when, well, today’s an ordinary day.
The “Garcello and SMG4” theme is when it’s the month of it being the anniversary of the actual Game mod and Smg4, accompanied by logo and favicon changes.
The “Meggy and Tari” theme is when it’s the month of it being the anniversary of Meggy’s debut, and Season 1 of Tari’s show, accompanied by logo and favicon changes, too.
The monochrome theme is for when an Smg4 story arc is getting dark. It can also be used as a funeral theme for when someone famous dies.
All “digital font” logos were created by me.
That’s all I have to say for today. Happy last day of September, because tomorrow is October!
