Weightlifting
Weightlifting is an Olympic sport that tests how much you can lift. The Rules are to lift as many weights as you can. You have six tries to lift. There is only one material that is used in weightlifting, it is the weight lifting belt. It helps you with your balance and A skill that measures how many pounds that you have to lift. Weightlifting was added to the Olympics in the 19th century at the Athens 1896 games.
Newton's 1st law an object at rest will stay at rest until acted upon by an outside force. This means there are unbalanced and balanced forces.
Muscle force is a force that is moved by a living thing. Objects at rest, or balanced, needs something to move it. An object in motion, or unbalanced, needs something to stop it.
Newton's 2nd law states that f.=.M*a or Force equals mass times acceleration. Acceleration is an unbalanced force, using motion and changing of direction. An example of acceleration that is in weight lifting is the athlete lifting the dumbbell. Weight lifting is a sport that will test your strength and how you lift the weight! the mass and weightlifting is the weight. The Acceleration and weightlifting is when the weight is lifted off the floor.
Newton’s 3rd law is that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Action is a force reaction is when it moves in the opposite direction. An example in weightlifting would be when a dumbbell hits a mat and bounces back up.
In the Olympics you see all three of Newton's Laws.
