Equestrian
There are many olympic sports played every four years, one is equestrian. First, equestrian started in 1912 in ancient Greece at the olympics. Next, for equestrian you need a saddle and a girth. A girth is a strap that hooks to a saddle to keep you safe and a saddle pad. Lastly, the rules of equestrian are there are three rounds of competition. One is jumping. Another is dressage. Dressage is when your horse does a little dance. Jumping is important because it tests the horse's ability and it tests the rider's ability! How you win equestrian is by adding up all the points. How you got those points is by jumping with no fall (points). Equestrianism is very important and shows many concepts of physics.
Equestrian has many different forces at work. Balanced forces are the poles abecause it is stopped. Unbalanced forces are in motion. These types of forces are seen in equestrian when it is in the middle. This is a unbalanced force because it is in motion. Newton's first law applies to equestrianism because a horse will be at rest until it's muscles make it go. Also a horse will be in motion until it's muscles stop. It also says a rider will be at rest until the horse runs. As well, it says a rider will be in motion until the horse stops.
There is another law that occurs in the sport of equestrian. The greater the mass the greater the force to move it. There are two types of forces: balanced horse because it is stopped and unbalanced horse because it is moving. Forces in equestrian are unbalanced poles. Mass is the thing that matters. An example of mass in equestrianism is the horse. Acceleration is speed and direction. When the athlete pushes the horse with force it will go fast .Also if the athlete pushes less it will go slower. Athletes in equestrian can predict the acceleration by knowing the next trick that highly requires more speed and which requires more of a push. Less speed requires less pushing. Overall, Newton's second law has many different places in equestrian.
There is one more law in equestrianism. First,Newton's third law says every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Action is motion. Some examples are a horse's hoof moving. A reaction is an action going again .A horse puts its foot back and goes forwards. A rider taps her foot so the horse goes fast. The horse pushes its back feet and lunges forward. The horse jumps up. Gravity brings the horse down.Truly,,the sport of equestrian is amazing and hard. physics can be seen in the world every day including equestrianism.
