Do you know that you could play basketball in the Olympics? Of course not! Oh well I guess you're missing out. I guess I could tell you. There are some pretty interesting facts about Olympic history. Girls have a different Olympics than the boys. The Olympics was invented by the Greek gods in 776 BC. It was also made in Berlin. Do You know what the rings represent on the olympics logo. They represent the five continents of the world. Every four years the Olympics hold games. They are basically broken into two groups: the summer olympics and the winter Olympics. The first Olympic game was on April 6th 1896. Those are the most important history facts about the Olympics.
Boys basketball is outstanding to research because of all the games and progress they've made. The USA won a lot of the games. In fact they won the first seven games. Men's basketball started in 1936. USA won in Berlin, London, Helsinki, Melbourne, Rome, Tokyo, Mexico City, Montreal, Los Angeles, Seoul, Atlanta, and London again.
Oh you needed to buckle up if you went to a dream team game because there were so many famous NBA players on the dream team. So WARNING buckle up those seat belts because I am about to talk about them. There are eleven famous NBA players on the team. Some of the players on the dream team are Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkly, and David Robenson. But the best one of them all is Michael Jordan. NBA players were not allowed to play until 1992. They won in 1992 all the way to 2000. A few years later shaq o'neal played. He played with other NBA players like Kobe Bryant. Shaq still played from 2002 to 2004. And when he played it was considered the dream team four. The dream Team is no longer a thing.
Ooh the girls basketball is super cool. But people don't really care about girl basketball. Only because people don't think that girls have rights to play sports. Girl basketball players are actually really really good. I watch them all the time and it's pretty cool. Just like boys basketball. Some of the girls' names are Jewell Loyd,Chelsea Gray, and Sylvia Fowles. Girls Olympic basketball started in 1976. The Girls Olympic won 11 gold medals. One of the teams actually won Team of the Year for 11 straight times.
Did you know that the first law is in sports? Well it is. Well you're probably wondering what is the first law? Well first it is an object that will stay at rest until something or someone moves it. Or if one of the forces moves it. That's essentially what it is. Now let's talk about balanced and unbalanced forces. A balanced force is when two objects are pushing together. And when The object or person or anything pushes together The object will either shake or just go up. Unlike an unbalanced force. So let's now talk about unbalanced forces. an unbalanced force is something that is not even. For example when you are pushing a Pencil and when you push the pencil it basically moves but you don't move so that's an unbalanced force. That's what essentially unbalanced and balanced forces are. It's kind of cool. In basketball they use four types of forces: one force is gravity, another force is drag, another force is Spring. The last Force Is applied force. The ball is kind of a spring Force and then you use applied force to move someone's body. Can you use gravity force when you're trying to shoot the ball into the hoop and then it falls down. And then drag Force Helps you a lot because in basketball everything involves drag Force.
Second Law is also in sports and involves mass and acceleration. Is basically in everything. To water bottles and even human beings. And acceleration is speed and direction. It also involves forces. What is force? Well force is a push or a pull Movement. Some examples of force in basketball are if you are dribbling or if you are trying to block the ball. For mass it's basically everything but some examples are the hoop, the ball, the people and even the court. Acceleration is their speed or Direction. For example, if they are running down the court they would use their direction so they can run to the hoop and they would use their speed so they wouldn't get caught with other players.
Ah, Newton's third law. The final law, It's mostly action and reaction. Action and reaction work together. Because action is every action that has an equal and opposite reaction. And reaction is the effect of an action. Examples they always help you describe things anyways an example of action and reaction working together is when you and your friend are doing like a belly bump you both will hit each other and then bounce back. Like if you were to push a marker you would not move but the marker would go forward. I have some examples that Action and reaction were together in my sport Olympic basketball. I have five examples I wanted to share with you. He actually would be if you are pushing the ball down to the ground. The reaction would be the ball bouncing back up. Or the action would be if you hit the backboard with the ball, the reaction would be the ball hits the ring and then goes in the hoop. Even the action could be the ball going in the hoop then the reaction is the hoop shakes. The players normally dunk so I thought when they dunk the hoop will go down. That's the action then the reaction is when the hoop bounces back up and then the hoop shakes. Or in a bounce pass. When they push the ball to the ground that's the action.
