Field Hockey
You probably already know about a sport called ice hockey but I'm not going to be talking about that today. Instead I'm going to tell you about the beginning of hockey, a sport called field hockey. In 3000 BC people started hitting balls with horns and they called it kerētízein. Later they came up with a wooden stick with a curve at the end and they played it on a field so they called it field hockey. Field hockey was played in the Olympics in the years 1908,1920 it was in 1924 it got dropped from the Olympus because it was the foundation of the Fédération Internationale de Hockey sur gazon. There's not alot of equipment but it has certain attributes. The stick has to have a curve at the end to give it more surface area to block. Players have to hit the ball with curve on the bottom of the stick and they cannot interfere with other players.
There are two parts to Newton's first law.The first part to Newton’s first law is an object in motion will stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. The second part to Newton’s first law is basically the opposite of the first part the second part of Newton's first law is that an object in motion will stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. The focus that make an object in motion slow down is gravitational force witch is when gravity pulls on an object in order to slow the object down.Another force that can slow down an object in motion down is friction.Friction is when two objects that are opposite off each other rub on each other in order to slow an object down. The last force that can slow an object in motion down is drag.drag is when an object can catch the air instead of letting it flow past. There are also ways to make an object at rest become an object in motion. When you push an object to make it move.sports use Newton’s first law for example in field hockey they use the second part of Newton’s first law when they swing the stick to hit the ball to make it move and to stop the ball there;s a bunch of friction.
Newton’s second law is when force is applied to mass in order to create acceleration. Force, push or pull. Mass, the material and volume of an object. Acceleration, when an object speeds up or changes direction. Decceleration, when an object slows down or changes direction .In field hockey when the stick hits the ball to make it move into the goal.
Newton's third law is in every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. An action is a motion for example when you push or pull an object a reaction is an after effect for example if you push an object it will go forward. In Newton’s third law when it says equal reaction that means if you apply force to an object the object will give you the same amount of force back.Actions and reactions in my sport are if you hit the ball with the stick two things will happen 1,the ball moves forward. 2, the ball gives the same amount of force back.and if the ball is moving and then hits the stick the ball will stop and with the force the ball had that force will make the stick go back.Same thing if the ball hits the net.I hope you liked learning about field hockey and will watch in the future.
