Rugby history. Rugby started at Rugby School in Warwickshire, England, in 1823. During a game of football, William Webb Ellis decided to pick up a ball and go with it. Although they didn't know that William Webb Ellis invented rugby they named the world cup the William Webb Ellis trophy. The Romans invented rugby over 2000 years ago. The Romans called it harpastum, which means “seize”. Origins. Both sports come from the older game of rugby football, which started in the 19th Century England. British colonists and the British military in Canada brought football to North America. It became popular in American and Canadian universities and prep schools.
Newton's first law is anything in motion stays in motion unless upon any Force but Anything At rest stays at rest Unless upon outside force.
There are seven forces and seven are spring, gravity, drag, friction, magnetic, applied, buoyant, and tension.
Newton's first law is used in rugby because when you kick the ball to the other team it is an unbalanced force. Before the game starts the ball stays in place and it's a balanced force.
Newton's second law is force equals mass times acceleration. F=MxA. A force is a push or pull and an example in my sport is tackling and kicking the ball. Mass is what an object is made of and an example in my sport is the ball, the players and the field. The players need to know the exact force, mass, and acceleration to have perfect accuracy. Acceleration is how fast or slow an object is going and an example in my sport is running and kicking. If a human applies force to a ball and it accelerates depending on the mass.
Newton's third law is for every action has an equal opposite reaction. An action is when you are moving or applying force to an object. Some examples in my sport are running or throwing the ball because it has an equal and opposite reaction. A reaction is if the exact same thing hits another exact same thing at the exact same speed they will bounce back the same amount. Some actions and reactions in my sport is when someone hits each other the reaction.
