To be able to upload them to the server you will need to enter your credentials in to the settings off the app. To do this, click the Library tab.

Note: Very long, high video quality recordings will take longer to upload and process. Where possible it is recommended to record for no longer than an hour, longer presentations could be split into sections.

Within Settings, go to the Techsmith Relay Account and add an account. You can do this via a QR code on your desktop PC if you are already logged into relay.port.ac.uk.

You can also manually connect and you can type in the server URL relay.port.ac.uk. On pressing connect, you will be taken to a login page where you can login with your standard university credentials.

Step 8

After signing in, please give your recording a title and in the description you may want to add further details about which unit it is for. Then choose one of the Fuse profiles. The Fuse Restricted and Moodle Assignment profile relate to the Assessed Video element and will be covered in further detail within it's own guide. Video - Compass and Downloadable video - Compass will be the most common choice depending on whether you wish to be able to download it at a later point. Fuse_streaming and Fuse_downloadable are older versions of profiles but are still in use within certain assessments and modules and cannot be removed at this stage.

Step 9

You will receive two emails from the Camtasia Relay server, in very much the same you would with Relay. The first should be received within an hour and will let you know that your recording has been uploaded successfully, it will provide a temporary link where you can view your recording. The exact content of the emails will vary depending on the upload profile you selected in Step 8.

Note: If this email takes longer than an hour to arrive please contact elearn@port.ac.uk

The second email will be received once your recording has been fully processed (within a maximum of 24 hours) and can be found within Compass. This second email will provide you with a permanent link for viewing your recording in Compass, the embed code available on this Compass webpage will help you add your recording to a Moodle unit should you wish.
