Moodle – Label

What does the Label resource do?

Labels are used to embed text and other media on the module homepage. You can add as much content into a label as you like, including pictures and videos. For example, you could use a label to add a heading to a list of files, add introductory / instructional text to a list of activities, or to add module content.

Adding a Label

Step 1

Before you can make any changes to your Moodle site content you must first enable editing. To do this, click on the 'Edit mode' button located at the top right of the page.

Step 4

You will now be able to add your Label text in the General settings area. You have a wide range of options in the tool menu to embed a range of media and text within a label. A label will display on your main Moodle page as it views here. There are some examples here on the Moodle help page to give you some ideas and also an interactive guide to the tools available in a label.
