Embedding YouTube video in Moodle

Once you have created your video and uploaded it to YouTube, you will need to embed it into your Moodle module. There are many ways to do this - the below steps are the simplest method.

Step 1.

Navigate to your YouTube video.

Step 2

Copy (Crtl + c) the URL from the address bar.

Step 3

Navigate to your Moodle module.

Step 4

Turn on editing.

Step 5

In the topic where you want the video to appear, click "Add an activity or resource".

Step 6

In the "Add and activity or resource" menu, scroll to the bottom, select "Label" and click "Add".

Step 7

In the "Label text" field, paste (Crtl + v) the YouTube URL to the field. Ensure that the URL converts to a link. This should happen automatically.

Step 8

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save and return to course".

Step 9

Moodle will automatically convert the URL into an embedded video.
