This video outlines the experience of Dr. Nhung N. Tran-Davies of coming to Canada as a refugee and is what the book, The Doll, is based on.
Nhung Tran-Davies was a Vietnamese refugee privately sponsored by a group of Canadians in 1979. Now she is sponsoring a family of Syrian refugees. (Educators, please preview this video before viewing it with your students.)
