When a pupil has a Special Educational Need or Disability, their brain may work differently compared to other pupils, so they will learn in a different way, and sometimes behave differently. When they are ready, pupils can learn that they can’t change this, but they can learn to manage it, and all about the gifts and advantages that they may have too!
This section of the website shares information aimed at the pupils to learn about their condition and what makes them unique. It may be that you download and share with parents or work through with a trusted staff member if parents would prefer this option.
Please note: Before working with a pupil and discussing their condition with them you must seek parental consent in case they don't feel it is appropriate.
This booklet is to help you understand what ADHD is, how it may affect you, what help you may need and how you can help yourself. You can read this booklet on your own or with a trusted adult. If there’s anything you don’t understand, just ask your parents / carer or teacher.
