The Core Progression Pathway (CPP) system is a detailed method of tracking progress used across Outwood Primary Academies for those children who are working well below their National Curriculum age-related expectation. Those pupils we record as a ‘3’ on our Primary Praising Stars. The CPP is used to monitor progress, identify gaps in learning and maximise progress by breaking down new learning into small chunks and evidencing progress.
It provides a detailed progress report to parents every half-term and gives class teachers and school leaders the opportunity to analyse this progress data whilst taking into account what they know about the individual child and their barriers to learning.
Each Academy has its own excel CPP document. This is created by the data team for the start of each academic year and shared with Principals to be shared with the appropriate staff.
Written by the OGAT data team to provide you with instructions on the various aspects of using the CPP tool. This includes: how to add and remove pupils, inputting scores, moving steps within a praising stars cycle and reporting progress to parents.
