New business generation is any new logo you bring into Orchestra. Without your relationship, Orchestra would not have been introduced to the opportunity. If the new client relationship is successfully signed into a contract, the employee who made the new business referral may be eligible to earn a business referral payment.
For all new business that you generate, you may be awarded 10% of that client’s net revenue for 12 months.
Net revenue amount is determined by subtracting all direct expenses related to servicing the client or providing end product and all unreimbursed expenses relating to the client (e.g. travel, meals, clips, etc.) from the gross revenue.
You may be considered to have generated new business only if and when:
Your division lead determines that you have generated new business
The new business client's invoice is paid in full
For any new logo to be commission-eligible, it must meet a minimum 40% margin target
You remain a current Orchestra employee in good standing (i.e., actively employed at the time of the payment)
The commission will be paid quarterly, 30 days after the end of each quarter.
If you have secured new business, the next step is to submit a contract for approval.
When submitting a new client contract, make sure that the name of the person who referred the new business is included with all the other details such as start/end date, scope of work and fees.
Once the contract request is received, the Vertical MD will determine whether to approve the details.
Business referral payment will be made 30 days after the end of the quarter.
Payment Dates
For Q1: April 30, 2026
For Q2: July 30, 2026
For Q3: October 31, 2026
For Q4: January 30, 2026
If a client is late with payment after the end of the quarter, the payment will be applied to the next quarter. So, if a client pays for March in April, you will then be paid after the close of Q2 (July 30)
For Berlin Rosen only: For any commission in perpetuity, those payments will be made in March of 2027, as has been the case in years past.
How do we define what is commission eligible moving forward?
Commission can be earned by levels 10-80 on any new logo brought to Orchestra. The commission will be 10% of net revenue and will be paid for 12 months. Inbound inquiries, that come into the growth aliases, are not-commissionable. A client will be considered “new” if they have not been a client for at least 18 months. Please note that for any new logo to be commission eligible it must meet a minimum 40% margin target. Please contact Finance for guidance on any new opportunity that does not meet this requirement.
Are we ending perpetuity on commission?
Yes, commission will be paid out for the first 12 months of a client engagement. Perpetual commissions will end at the end of 2026.
What if I have commission that I am still being paid out in perpetuity. What happens to that?
We will work with you individually to look at your commission and your overall compensation. You will continue to be paid on any perpetuity through 2026.
Can new business commission be split between multiple people?
Yes, new business commission can be split when multiple individuals have meaningfully contributed to securing the new logo, if approved by the Managing Director or Vertical Leader. The total commission (10% of revenue for 12 months) will remain fixed but can be divided among eligible contributors (levels 10–80). The specific allocation should be agreed upon by the relevant leaders and HR to ensure fairness and consistency across Verticals.
Is commission paid on only outbound or also inbound new business?
Commission applies to any new logo brought to Orchestra through Outbound (actively sourced) opportunities. Inbound inquiries, that come into the growth aliases, are not-commissionable.
Are upsell/cross sell opportunities eligible for commission?
Upsell and Cross sell opportunities are not eligible for commission.
What is the frequency of commission payments?
Commissions will be paid on a quarterly basis for the period the client is active.
