Dear Parent / Carer,
At the end of an incredibly busy half-term, I would like to thank you for all your support for your children and our school community over the last few weeks.
Our Year 7 and 8 students have recently taken their first '100 fact challenge' assessment and I know that many of you supported your children to prepare for this. Our Year 10, 11, 12 and 13 students have recently been working with Dr. van der Spoel on revision and exam preparation techniques. Please take the opportunity to talk to your child about what they have learnt and what works well for them. This will help our students feel more confident in their best ways of working as they prepare for the challenge of examinations in the summer term.
I am delighted with the phrases Ofsted inspectors have used to capture our student community. They described students are 'proud of their school', 'studious and ambitious, and 'good role modes for the younger pupils'. This is reflected in all the stories and news items you will read below.
With best wishes for the half-term break.
