We often hear that around two-thirds of today’s students will be employed in jobs that don’t exist yet. Computing jobs continue to be placed at the top of the list of the highest-paid and with the highest job satisfaction. The opportunities that can arise off the back of any qualification in computing are endless because many skills in the field of IT and computing are closely linked to innovation, development and forward-thinking.
Preparing our young people for the future world of work is challenging, and working closely with universities and local employers is central to our ethos.

Our talented year 8 students shone and made us feel proud at the iBelong event, held at the University of Hertfordshire – the event has been specifically designed by the London, Herts and Essex Teach Computing Hub for year 8 high achieving girls to gain insight in a career in STEM.
Block Coding in our lessons – teaching peers and leading Computer Science lessons during Transition Day.
The benefits of block coding are limitless, but try filling your teachers’ boots – it’s hard at the beginning, but look where we are now! Working completely on their initiative, the team of talented coders led by Nithish Rupasinghe have designed, prepared and delivered a series of engaging lessons on block coding projects. They tested their teaching skills on their peers ready to deliver lessons to Year 6 students during our Transition day.

Every GCSE and A-Level student have used their videos – Craig Sargent and David Hillyard are two experienced teachers of Computer Science, with a degree in the subject, and experience working in the computing industry. They are known to every successful Computer Science student and teacher in the UK, their students achieve excellent results and they share their success with us too.
