It was a pleasure for OSA to host the return of the Rotary Club Technology Tournament on 12th March.
Teams from Year 8 to Year 12 from Welwyn Hatfield schools took part in the annual STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) challenge put on by Rotary Hatfield.
The challenge is disclosed on the day and this year involved getting a small payload from one side of a river to the other just using the overhead rope.
Onslow St Audrey’s had seven entries competing at three different levels. After initial design ideas, the team put a portfolio together and then began building their chosen design ready for the afternoon competition.
The OSA Year 10 were crowned champions of the intermediate level, congratulations to Wiktoria, Gabriel, Daniel and Aleksander!
Overall It was a highly successful day where students had the opportunity to show their STEM prowess and was enjoyed by all involved.
