This week we learned more about our names. We used drums to count the number of "beats" we heard.
We transitioned from our "kitchen" play area to "the office". A lot of emails were sent and important calls were made!
This week on the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, we spoke in a developmentally appropriate way about residential schools using the story of Phyllis Webstad's orange shirt. We also had some fun with colouring pages made by indigenous artists.
When ghosts attacked the office, letters and notes were written to request assistance from the "boss" of the workplace. This is a great example of emerging writing. Children will start to associate letters with sounds. The notes read: "Danger" "We need ghostbusters".
We used unifix cubes to make numbers and count.
Spending some time with colouring and art
Creating something new
Building with Magnet tiles

Exploring outside
Every Monday we get to explore our "nature centre". This week we just took our time looking around - we used magnifying glasses to take a closer look at bugs and leaves. We collected acorns, picked flowers and found some interesting plants!
This week we read some books about being brave, sharing, being a good listener and appreciating ourselves.
