In the beginning of the year, professor Clegg will have you take a VARK test which in short, is a test that tells you which study/ learning methods would work best for you. You receive four different scores, one for visual, aural, read/write, and kinesthetic.
If you scored highest on visual you should try:
-Including diagrams or pictures in notes
-Taking clean and organized notes using things like bright colors and don't be afraid to mark your notes up
If you scored highest on aural you should try:
-Watching videos on subject of study
-Read your notes out loud to yourself or even to someone else
- Record yourself talking about said notes and then play the recording back until you can understand and remember the content
If you scored highest on reading/ writing you should try:
-Filling a notebook with notes from each chapter
-Reading the textbook
If you scored highest on kinesthetic you should try:
-Playing some of the games listed on the page
-Studying from something you can touch (ex. physical textbook or flash cards)
(This learning style is the most difficult to utilize in an online class, although that doesn't mean its impossible or that you can't try some of the strategies for other learning styles. I believe in you!)
