There are both male and female reproductive systems. They don't have many traits in common when it comes to reproduction. The names for each gender are different, even if many of the components have the same function.
The ovary (F) and testis (M) create gametes and sex hormones.
During sexual excitation, the erectile tissue is activated during the climax and clitrois (F) and the glans of the penis (M).
During orgasmic and sexual excitement, the erectile tissue in the body of the penis (M) and labia minora (F) is stimulated.
The scrotum (M) and labia majora (F) protect and cover several reproductive organs.
The bulbourethral gland (M) and greater vestibular gland (F) release mucin for lubrication.
