Neuroscientist:
What they do:
A neuroscientist studies how the brain affects cognitive and behavioral function. They work with both biological and chemical processes of the brain. Typically, they work in research facilities, hospitals, or teach.
Subdivisions in Neuroscience:
Molecular and cellular neuroscience: Studies the molecules that control neurons and cells in the brain.
Developmental neuroscience: Focused on development, form, and change of neuroscience.
Neurogenetics: Studies diseases that affect neurons in particular.
Clinical neuroscience: Studies neurological disorders and diseases along with how to diagnose, treat, and prevent them in the first place.Name locations of simple squamous epithelium in the human body
Neurophysiology: Studies the structure and function of the nervous system.
Sensory neuroscience: Studies the sensory systems of the nervous system.
How to Become a Neuroscientist:
Despite rigorous schooling, a career in neuroscience can be quite rewarding and enjoyable. The job outlook for medical careers in general is supposed to increase by 17% from 2020 to 2030. To get a head start, high schoolers may take advanced math, biology, and chemistry courses along with keeping up with the humanities. These courses will help anyone going into any STEM field, not just neuroscience.
For post-secondary schooling, those wishing to pursue this field must complete a bachelor's degree and a masters degree, if not, a PhD. Those wishing to work with clients must further education by getting a medical degree and license. Post-doctoral programs are commonly taken as well.
Neurologist:
What they do:
A neurologist is a medical doctor who specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the brain, spinal cord and nerves.
Subspecialty Fields in Neurology:
Brain injury medicine
Child neurology
Geriatric neurology
Vascular neurology
Neuroimaging
Epilepsy
How to Become a Neurologist:
Despite rigorous schooling, a career in neurology can be rewarding and enjoyable. To become a neurologist, a person must complete a bachelor's degree (four years). After receiving a bachelor's degree, a person must complete another four years of medical school. After medical school, one year of internship in neurology and other fields must be completed. After an internship, three years of residency is required followed by up to three years of fellowship. Although fellowships are not required, they offer additional training in a neurology subspecialty.
Acupuncturist:
What they do:
An acupuncturist relieves symptoms such as nausea, depression, anxiety, some neurological disorder, infertility from their patients. They do this by inserting thin and long needles into the patient's skin. How it works isn't exactly known; however, scientists believe it works because it manipulates the ANS.
How to Become a Acupuncturist:
Becoming an acupuncturist requires completing an accredited Master's of Acupuncture program, which takes about 2 and 1/2 years. A doctorate may also be completed.
History:
Acupuncture originated from Traditional Chinese Medicine. They believed that the vital energy called "qi" circulated throughout the body. By performing acupuncture, they unlocked the "qi" and allowed circulation once more. It was believed that a lack of "qi" circulation caused pathology and disease.

A neurosurgen is someone who deals with your nerves in both a surgical and non surgical way. They diagnos and treat different kinds of diseases that affect your nervous system such as your brain, spinal cord, and nerves. Neurosurgens go through 14-17 years total of schooling, although it is a lot of schooling, it would definitely be worth it.
