The layer below the epidermis is the dermis. The dermis contains two layers:
Papillary Layer
Reticular Layer
You can remember that the papillary layer is above the reticular layer by remembering that P comes before R in the alphabet.
Hypodermis:
The hypodermis is the bottommost layer of the skin
It is also called the subcutaneous tissue.
The hypodermis contains many things such as connective tissue, adipose tissue, hair follicles, nerves, sweat glands, and blood vessels.
