Women's Health Nurse Practitioners (WHNP's) perform medical tests to help women through the lifespan. Some of these include: pregnancy testing, fertility evaluation, prenatal visits, after-pregnancy care and menopausal care. WHNP's typically work in private practice or hospital settings. Some things they diagnose and treat are vaginitis, urinary tract infection and abdominal pain.

Andrologists specialize with the male reproductive system. They are the male equivalent of gynecologists. They typically treat infertility, erectile dysfunction, and other related issues. They diagnose these things by looking for anatomical obstruction, hormone disorders, cancer, congenital abnormalities like undescended testes, or genetic anomalies. Andrologists also perform surgeries such as vasectomies.
