7th Grade History
For history, our seventh grade classes have been learning about Utah counties and the climate in Utah. As well as Counties and climates, the seventh graders have been learning about Utah's Economy, and the natural features. The 7th Grade History Teachers are Mrs. Hatch, and Mrs. Porter. This is a picture of Mrs. Hatch's class studying for a test.
8th Grade History
In 8th Grade, they are taught U.S. History, specifically about the Revolutionary War, the past presidents of the U.S., and have also had the chance to take the Civics test about the United States of America, required to pass high school. The U.S. History teachers are Mrs. Hatch, Mrs. Porter, and Mr. Shields. This is Mrs. Porters 8th grade class in action.
9th Grade History
Ninth Grade is a little different, you are taught two different History subjects. First you are taught Geography, then World Civilization. Ms. Reese and Mr. McKell are the 9th grade history teachers here at SJHS. In World Civilization they learn about the Governments around the world, specifically 7 types. In Geography they go over continents and the worlds countries.
