Fine Arts

This year in Fine Arts everyone has been working hard and having fun.

The Drama classes have been working extremely hard this term. They have been working on many things such as their performances. In Drama 2 the eighth graders took 3 musicals and put them all together. They performed that show on Thursday January 4th at 3:00. The Drama 1 class preformed that day too. They both did amazing jobs. The musicals that the 8th graders did were, Newsies, High School Musical, and Beauty and The Beast. All of the drama kids had so much fun this term!

In choir this term they have been learning a song in hebrew.

This year's orchestras have also been putting their backs into playing and performing classical pieces by composers such as Mozart, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach, and many others. Especially the 9th grade orchestra.

The art classes have been busy bees and working hard on their works. Foundations has been learning about shading, color schemes, and different drawing techniques. They learned about the Grid Method and one point perspective. Foundations 1 has also been working on self portraits. The sculpture class has been doing a lot of cool projects too. They made clay cups, abstract paper sculptures, book sculptures, and metal embossed letters. Drawing class also learned about shading similar to the Foundations class. This classes focus was to make our drawings more realistic by drawing stuff from real life. Learning how to use light, arranging subjects, and learning to take better photos has been a few of the many things the Photography class has been doing this semester. They've recently been finishing up a project in Photoshop.
