Your task is to write a reply letter explaining why you think it is a bad idea.
Try to persuade me that this shouldn’t happen as if you all you don’t I may just go ahead with this plan.
Think about:
· How to set out your letter
· How to start your letter
· How to start each paragraph
· Give me 3 reasons why I shouldn’t do this
· Be nice, flattery gives you a better chance of stopping this happening
· How to end your letter
Dear Year 6,
I am writing to inform you that I think you should have homework every night of the week.
After all the fun you have at school, I know you all rush home to complete your homework. This started me thinking. I realised that you would love to be given homework every night.
One reason why I think it is a good idea is that, while you are already brainy, extra homework will help to improve your levels at school. Mrs Julies would be really pleased!
Finally, I know many of you take part in after school clubs/activities so you may be thinking, where will I get the time to do homework every night? Not to worry, I will put on an after school homework club from 2-5pm every afternoon! We could do History, English, Mathematics and Science to start off with.
Yours Sincerely,
Ms Scally.
