Bonjour, je m'appelle Madame Jocelyne Pérut. Je suis professeur de français à Newton British Academy Barwa au Qatar.
I will use this VLE, our school virtual learning platform to communicate with you every week what we are learning in Y5 French class as well as any relevant homework and assessments.
Dear parents, guardians and students,
During Term 3, Year 5 children will learn about the topic of leisure activities.
They will develop the following skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing sentences in French.
By the end of this term 3, children will be able to…
- say what activities they have, where they go.
- say what they do on the weekend.
- express their opinion about the leisure activities they liked and disliked.
Y5 will have their French End of Term 3 Examinations taking place in the classroom on the following dates:
- Tuesday 11th June 2019, Year 5 Yellow = lesson 1
- Tuesday 11th June 2019, Year 5 Green = lesson 2
- Tuesday 11th June 2019, Year 5 Purple = lesson 5
- Tuesday 11th June June 2019, Year 5 Blue = Lesson 6
- Tuesday 11th June 2019, Year 5 Red = lesson 7
- Wednesday 12th June 2019, Year 5 Orange = lesson 4
- Wednesday 12th June 2019, Year 5 Indigo = lesson 5
The Year 5 French End of Term 3 Examinations will include listening, reading and writing about:
- Leisure activities, hobby: what you do for your free time and on the weekends.
- Places to go for the weekend (e.g. at home, the shopping mall, the swimming pool etc.)
- Opinions about leisure activities, e.g. what is your favourite hobby? and explain why you like or dislike a hobby.
- Y5 children took their worksheets and revision pack home on the week 19th to 23rd May 2019. You can also find a copy of the resources here on the VLE.
