Basement is one of the structural parts of a building which may lies partially or completely below the surface level of the building. The purpose of providing a basement on dwellings acts as an additional storage area and in high rise structures it acts as a parking space.
On the proposed site the basement acts as the parking space. The retaining walls (Bored concrete retaining piles) acts as the basement wall. The basement floor slab will be reinforced concrete floor slab. Once the piles are erected the steel frames must be bolted to the underground pile foundation.
The basement floor slab itself will act as a integral water proofed shell. These types of structures are basically designed on the specification of design code BS 8007 or BS 8110 which provides the details on concrete grade and steel grade and spacings as well.

The basement has two access one for entrance and one for exit both the access are provided with proper ramp entry. The basement height is around four meter it provides two layer stacked car park facility.
