Khan Academy offers help in many subjects like math, science, economics, art, and computer science, as well as resources for test prep and teacher learning. This website can be accessed by anyone, so it is a program that can help everyone learn.
Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more.
Basically there are four important implementation methods. Out of these some teachers use either one out of the four or some use a combination of methods chosen from the four of them. Either way, it mostly works well for a well on going classroom. The four methods include:
1. Self-paced practice
2. Lesson aligned practice
3. Topic review
4. Homework
The above mentioned 4 topics are explained below.
1. Self-paced practice
Using an official SAT or by using the mastery feature of the course, we can let students work on their own to master their skills and work on their own skills. Which also improves and mater their skills.
2. Lesson aligned practice
For every session or lesson, khan academy provides exercises for the students to complete on the day. This would be based on the specific topic taught on the lesson. They also might set a target or a standard for the day’s work to be done. So that the students may reach the target goal set for the lesson at the end of the day.
3. Topic review.
As a third method of the khan's academy, they use topic review. Here they would assign different sources for the students to go through and complete them. So that at the end of each lesson, the teachers would review them. This wouldn’t let them have anything left being or lagging from any of the topics.
4. Homework
This is another method used by khan academy. In order to help this method work, they assign different works like articles, problem sets, or sometimes videos. The students would be able to work them out and seems interesting for the students to work out, as they do not need to work on this as a class oriented work or not in a classroom. They need to just complete the work no matter where they prefer to be (at home or at a friend's place)
When we choose a method for the students we have to figure out which one or ones would be better for the students. Or which of these would work for the students. Also the students shall have a questioning session so that they need to have any douvds and clear away all the doubts.
This kind of learning helps improve the capacity of students and make them practical on studies.
